seeing orders for a specific fund
by Kohn, Karen 04 Nov '11

04 Nov '11

Hello, Back when we were on 3.0, I could look at the funds list on the Acquisitions page and click on the amount ordered for a fund to see what was ordered. The number (dollar amount) was a link, and the link took me to a list of everything on order. Same with the dollar amount spent; it took me to a list of what had been received. We are now on 3.6 and can't do this anymore (couldn't in 3.4 either). Were the links removed? If I look at a particular fund and want to know what it's been spent on, how would I figure that out? Thanks. -- *Karen Kohn* Collection Development Manager Education and Sociology Librarian Landman Library Arcadia University 450 S. Easton Road Glenside, PA 19038 ph: 215-572-8528 fax: 215-572-0240

Availability: No items available:

Dear all, We are running Koha version: 3.04.02.000. We have started cataloging books. While we search for titles under OPAC we get the search results but under each search result, Koha reports Availability: No items available even though we have not yet started circulation. What could we be missing or what could be wrong?

Re: [Koha] overdue_notives - to_address field is not populated
by ISM KIS 02 Nov '11

Ian, Your are right! The to_address gets set by the process_message_queue. After changing AutoEmailPrimaryAddress to "first valid" everyone else got the overdue notice. Just for the book I have entered (and made overdue) for myself the system did not create a overdue record to be sent. Now I have to check why not. Thanks a lot for your help. Rudy Wuthrich Kodaikanal International School >>> Ian Walls <ian.walls(a)bywatersolutions.com> 11/2/2011 2:33 PM >>> Rudy, I've found that to_address remains null until process_message_queue sends the message; this is so that if the email changes between when the notice is generated and when it's sent, the most up-to-date email is used. Can you check to see if messages are going out now? At the least, if you see "sent" in a patron's message history, instead of "failed", you'll know this is working (whether the email reaches the patron, there is no way to know). -Ian On Wed, Nov 2, 2011 at 4:54 AM, ISM KIS <Ism(a)kis.in> wrote: > Ian, > > Thank you for your input. > > The setting was on "alternate" and I changed it to "first valid" > > But still it does not enter anything into the to_address field. > > Maybe I need to restart the server? I set the calendar to show Friday November 11th as a Unique holiday as we will be closed for Veteran's Day. However I've discovered that items checked out yesterday show a due date of 11/11/11. Ian, I did process_message_queue and after that the status is "sent" And the OverdueNoticeBcc account does get the mail. But the to_address field in the message_queue remains empty and the patron (In the case myself) did not get the mail. -Rudy >>> Ian Walls <ian.walls(a)bywatersolutions.com> 11/2/2011 2:33 PM >>> Rudy, I've found that to_address remains null until process_message_queue sends the message; this is so that if the email changes between when the notice is generated and when it's sent, the most up-to-date email is used. overdue_notives - to_address field is not populated
by ISM KIS 02 Nov '11

02 Nov '11

After upgrading to Koha 3.4.5 we have noticed that the overdue notices were not sent. The cron jobs are running and the message_queue table gets updated. The borrowernumber is correct in the message_queue but the to_address field is NULL. ( select email from borrowers where borrowernumber = xxx gives me the correct email) Any ideas why the to_address field is NULL and what to do about this? If I manually update the to_address and run process_message_queue.pl then the notices are sent ok. Thanks for any help. Rudy Wuthrich Kodaikanal International School

Acquisitions Question - Order from Staged
by Nicole Engard 01 Nov '11

When you order from a staged file in acquisitions if you choose to Import All the records in the staged file at once it puts in pricing information. Can someone tell me what field it's pulling this pricing information from? Nicole
