Install Problem: Web Installer - Software error
by Sean Carte 21 Nov '11

21 Nov '11

I'm just starting out with Koha. Everything seems to proceed well until the Web installer, which gives the following error after the language selection: Software error: Undefined subroutine &main::setlanguagecookie called at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/installer/install.pl line 25. This is on a Ubuntu 10.04, using Koha 3.04.06. I followed the INSTALL.ubuntu.lucid instructions. Any ideas as to what may be wrong? Unlocking MARC Fields in Koha 3.06
by Amber Amland 20 Nov '11

20 Nov '11

We just upgraded Koha, and in MARC the fields such as 650 a are locked, and it looks like you're supposed to use authority search to fill them in. However, authority search doesn't work, and I often have new names or subjects that wouldn't be in there (I think). Does anyone know how to unlock those fields? We're now using Koha version 3.06.00.000 on Linux library 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2009-10-26 15:49:03 +0100 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Thank you so much! Stocktake
by library 20 Nov '11

20 Nov '11

Kia Ora Koutou I too am trying my first stocktake, however, I do not understand the results. The stocktake is loading fine (BBEdit), but at the very least I expected the "last seen" field to change to today's date. How can you tell if your items have been seen or not. I ran the barcode report which worked well, but it only tells me that a number of barcodes have not been seen. I really need to know if items that are still registered as "out" are in fact "in", but this detail is not flagged, although it does flag the items that have been withdrawn. How do others determine this. Thanks for all the past help I have received, this is a really caring community.
