To all libraries using Koha: As Joann mentioned, I am collecting data for the 2011 Annual Library Automation Perceptions survey. This survey aims to provide some general measurement of the levels of satisfaction that libraries have with their library automation systems and the organizations that support them. I am aware that many libraries using Koha do so independently without direct involvement of a support firm. Even in these cases, data regarding the perceived quality and functionality of the automation system would be very helpful. The survey also probes at the relative level of interest in open source automation systems. I do hope that all libraries using Koha will respond to the survey. The survey forms are linked to each library's entry in the lib-web-cats directory, so you will need to submit an entry if your library is not already represented. A large number of libraries using Koha are already represented, but I'm sure that there are many still missing. biblios search not working through OPAC

Hello, I have koha 3.00.02 installed on my system. Previously everything were working fine, then this strange problem came just a month ago. There are ~ 6000 records on database when i search for some word through opac only a certain results are shown which are added later which is after 5123 record. But other records before that are not shown and total results are ~400. When i did the same search through yaz-client it showed ~2000 hits. And there are ~2000 records searching on database directly. I tried to rebuilding zebra index ... upgraded system to newer 3.06 version [ as separate instance ] but still problem is still there. please help Diwaker

Please, can any body tell me how to save an edited file (opac-main.tmpl). We use the Ubuntu Live CD version. setting up predue notices

Hi there, 1. Can anyone help me please to set up notices warning borrowers that items are nearly due. I see a predue notice in the notices list but can't find how to set up when it goes out. 2. Also, I would like to know how to insert the due date into this notice and the overdue notices. It does not appear in the list of fields available. I have scoured the manual but have not been able to find either item. What am I doing wrong? Branches and circulation rules

Tena koutou We are struggling to understand the way individual branches work. We would like to create an independent branch to issue laptops to students (and departmental resources later) which will not be affected by how many library books students have overdue. I have tried setting circulation rules in the laptop issues branch to be completely different to those in our library but this has not worked. Are we able to define differing borrow rules for the same patron at different libraries. Could someone direct me to more complete instructions on how the overdues systems work or how circulation rules work. We are still using 3.2 but will be migrating to 3.6 in the New Year. Hello Friends This is my first post here, but I have been following your excellent work for a while. Koha is in my view the most versatile and easy to use Library system I know of. After 7 years of using version 2.0.0 I have decided to upgrade. Since I was testing a LiveCD 3.2.5 and I was pleased with the flexibility and accuracy of the setup of barcode label layouts. My layout is based on Code 39 Biblio/Barcode. With a fresh installation of 3.6.0 I ran into two problems with the resulting PDF (but the same applies to CSV and XML). 1. In 3.2.5 the bib text could be easily picked either through Koha Field (e.g. itype, homebranch) or MARC subfield (e.g. 952y, 952a). In 3.6.0 only the Koha fields are visibly printed, while choosing the MARC subfields returns white space. 2. In 3.2.5 I also used to have two fields per line with the use of quotes, e.g. "homebranch itype" or "952a 952y" and it worked fine. With 3.6.0 again I get white space instead of printed fields. Looking at the resulting XML I notice a parsing problem with the quotes, as if they were not recognized. Is this a bug or a feature? Neither the manual nor the help files seem to reflect changes concerning the layout setup since 3.2.5. Is there any other option to make two text fields enter in one line? I would enormously appreciate your kind answer and guidance. interlibrary loan

Hello Everyone, Our migration to KOHA is going pretty well but we've run into one bump and it has to do with interlibrary loan. Wondering what setup/practice you have for ILL at your libraries.
