List of Koha libraries and/or their OPACs

Hi. I've been poking around for some library OPACs to study what is possible with Koha but haven't had much luck. I'd like to steal some ideas for developing our own OPAC. Could someone point me to such a list? Also, any other suggestions or OPAC development tools would be much appreciated. Thanks much! --Jim Maroon

help about callnumber definition

Hi all, We are cataloguing book with koha 3.6. We don't use any predefine classification (e.g dewey). We filled the catalogue form with values for field 942. When we display the result of sourcing the catalogue the information about the callnumber is not display. Can someone suggest how to display these fields correctly? Thank you, regards.

Fatal error while running koha...plz help

Hi, I am trying to install koha on ubuntu 11.10. I have followed the steps given at http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_on_Ubuntu I completed all command line steps and as i proceed to the web install instructions (#*6 - You still need to configure/install Koha via the Admin Page*) and click on http://127.0.1.1:8080 i am getting below error message. Ian's questions are interesting. Before writing http://catalogo.pusc.it/mobile/ I had a Q&A with... myself: Q: An app? A: Very beautiful appearance. It can easily store preferences, credentials, data and offline functionalities. It requires a lot of experience for developing and testing on many present -and future- smartphones and tablets. And certifications of Apple Store and Android Market. Apps increase in number day by day. Maybe this model will have an end is few years. My university has/will have its own app. There will be two apps for our students? Or will I develop part of the institutional app? Q: Ad hoc CSS to change Koha appearance? A: Seems difficult without changing templates. Web pages for smartphones must be very simple, to avoid zooming too often and allow easy finger taps. Q: A web app? A: Doesn't require Apple Store or Android Market certifications. Every mobile device has a (good) browser. Using jQuery Mobile, basically only HTML(5) and javascript skills are required. No way for integration with other apps. Login is required for user features (maybe cookies can help). After analyzing these pros and cons, I choose to write a web app. However, Koha runs in very different institutions. I think the community could try to develop both a web app and an app. Maybe their core could be the same, to share code as much as possible. MARC Authority Fields

We just upgraded Koha, and in MARC the fields such as 650 a are locked, and it looks like you're supposed to use authority search to fill them in. However, authority search doesn't work, and I often have new names or subjects that wouldn't be in there (I think). Does anyone know how to unlock those fields? We're now using Koha version 3.06.00.000 on Linux library 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2009-10-26 15:49:03 +0100 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux Thank you so much! Reloading MARC

Good morning, When we upgraded from Koha 3.0 to 3.6 we have some records that Koha isn't happy with. It seems to have thrown all records after the missed ones out of the catalog. (They are still available in circulation.) I would like to reload the MARC in smaller batches to find the ones that are the problem and fix those. Is there an easy way to dump the current MARC and reload it? Barcodes in OPAC Display
