Migration of Multiple copies

Dear Mr. Robin, Can you share with us the step by step process of data migration of multiple copies of single titles in MARC21. The standard practice what I have done is to keep the biblio number same and then changing the local field details in 952 and making sure that barcode and copy number changed. Hi Dagne, please reply to the list – your question might be interesting for other libraries as well and others can try and help you when I am not around. The checkin notice is an email with a list of the returned books. You were asking about the hold notices – those should also show up as an option in the same configuration table. The same table should also show up in every patron account. As I wrote earlier, changes for the patron category will not be made to existing patrons, but only to new patrons. So you will have to update your existing patrons with your new messaging settings. Best is to test with a test account to see how it all works together and how the notices look like. What you need to do is enable the EnhancedMessagingPreferences system preference. Then you can configure standard settings for your category types. Hello all, i am very happy if some one could help me. we are using koha 3.8.4 and there many patrons making hold for books. is there away that i could set to make an automatic notice when the books checked in back or how i could notice them. Thanks Dagne

Patron Import

Today we have been trying to upload new patron images...we continuously get this message: Patron image failed to upload - Unpacking completed - 1 directories scanned. - 1 directories processed. - - Cardnumber: *WARNING:* This image *not* imported because the cardnumber and filename is missing. Any ideas? We've checked the format of the file and it is identical to the tutorial on the Koha website - and yet, it looks like the card numbers aren't being read because there isn't one printed in the message. If anyone has any idea - your help would be much appreciated! I'm out of ideas for the moment. Thanks in advance! add member from ldap failed

Hi, I've configured the connexion to our ldap. I've thsi error AddMember failed at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth_with_ldap.pm line 158. What does it mean and what can i do? I've seen in the logs and nothing special. Best regards samuel

CAS authentification

Hi, We plan to use our CAS in order to access to the intranet and , for the user, to his account. I work with mod-proxy on apache and my questions are about configuration. upgrade 3.6.1 to 3.8.5 & DOM vs GRS1

Dear all I write this mail because we wish to share this issue with you and ask you If you have had similar experiences We have upgraded a koha 3.6.1 to 3.8.5 with success no error messages, no where however we have found some strange behaviour in the Zebra index.. If we upgrade koha and configure zebra for using DOM, some records are missing, although they are in the mysql (we have seen the bugzilla and we have applied it , and some records appears but we do not rely completly on this index, we fear that some records are still missing... a search in 3.8.5 and 3.6.1 gives different number of results and we do not know if this happens becasue of the change of indexing in DOM or because there are still lmissing records.... however the subject search it matachs 100% both servers. If we upgrade koha and condigure grs1 we get the exact result list in 3.6.1 and 3.8.5 but all the records are empty, with no data... (no error logs nowhere), koha 3.8.5 gives 13 ersults... and is list them with no data... (we have reindexed them with -x and without -x) we suspect perhaps some kind of character problem indexing...... Now we're going to maka a fresh install instead of a upgrade and check the behaviour of zebra results... Anybody has experienced a similar behaviour? we're going tin make a fresh install of Koha 3.8.5 and transfer the database and check it in order to compare both index (the upgraded and fresh install) Data from the server (perhaps we should upgrade zebra?)
