SQL for a report of overdue accounts.
by Tony Morton 30 Oct '12

30 Oct '12

Hello Fellow Koha users, Firstly let me say I have tried the standard reports and building my own report but I can't get it to do what I want. I need to be able to produce a report that has the Borrowers contact details, a description of all charges, total of all charges but is grouped by the date of the first charge. With this information I can mail merge to send out letters for overdue accounts. If you do this in a different fashion I would be interested to know (I'm willing to change). Good day koha users and developers! I installed koha 3.8.4 on a debian 6.0 machine. I was putting in cronjobs for the site by following this: http://manual.koha-community.org/3.2/en/cronjobsch.html. My last cron job is /build_browser_and_cloud.pl -f -b 100a -t 600 -c. I was able to successfully run it, I think. I was also tinkering on the OPAC of our site (http://hreplib.congress.gov.ph) I tried the Browse by author or subject, now my question is: when I search here, I'm getting results of authorized headings with HASH(xxxxx). Is this normal? What shoud I do (to get it right)? You can try going into the OPAC so you see what I was saying. Thanks and more power! -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Browse-by-author-or-subject-tp5731224.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Changing default focus from keyword to ISBN on staff search page
by Marty 28 Oct '12

28 Oct '12

Hi all, I had a question from my cataloger, whether it was possible to change the focus of at least one of the buttons on the advanced search page (staff side) to ISBN or barcode. The idea is that one of the buttons will show ISBN when opening the page so it saves her from scrolling down all the time. I think it is possible, just not sure where to do this, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Marty

Koha Live CD for testing
by Vimal Kumar V. 27 Oct '12

27 Oct '12

Dear Friends, I just uploaded Koha Live CD for the review by community. https://sourceforge.net/projects/kohalivecd-lite/ Live CD build on Madbox Linux, http://madbox.tuxfamily.org/. Madbox is based on Ubuntu 12.04 and OpenBox desktop, very light weight and fast. Total size of Koha Live CD is 690 MB. I think this size is convenient for downloading. I have added a Readme file which mentioned passwords and important information regarding the Live CD. I added an automatic backup script. It will take hourly back up of Koha DB. I also build another Koha Live DVD based on Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop based on gnome-shell desktop. Its size is about 900 MB. I have not uploaded the DVD yet. Regards, -- Vimal Kumar V. Other fields work without error. Google the error has not been helpful, Would someone kindly be able to point me in the right direction.
