Changing default focus from keyword to ISBN on staff search page

Hi all, I had a question from my cataloger, whether it was possible to change the focus of at least one of the buttons on the advanced search page (staff side) to ISBN or barcode. The idea is that one of the buttons will show ISBN when opening the page so it saves her from scrolling down all the time. I think it is possible, just not sure where to do this, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Marty

Koha Live CD for testing

Dear Friends, I just uploaded Koha Live CD for the review by community. https://sourceforge.net/projects/kohalivecd-lite/ Live CD build on Madbox Linux, http://madbox.tuxfamily.org/. Madbox is based on Ubuntu 12.04 and OpenBox desktop, very light weight and fast. Total size of Koha Live CD is 690 MB. I think this size is convenient for downloading. I have added a Readme file which mentioned passwords and important information regarding the Live CD. I added an automatic backup script. It will take hourly back up of Koha DB. I also build another Koha Live DVD based on Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop based on gnome-shell desktop. Its size is about 900 MB. I have not uploaded the DVD yet. Regards, -- Vimal Kumar V. Authority error

After installing Authority files downloaded from SCIS via the bulkauthimport script on 3.8.3 using Debian packages, I get this error when attempting to 'choose' an entry for the 100$a field; Software error: Can't call method "subfields" on an undefined value at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/authorities/blinddetail-biblio-search.pl line 86. Other fields work without error. Google the error has not been helpful, Would someone kindly be able to point me in the right direction. I'm using the "advanced search form" only for search by collection not for "item type". Improving the advanced search form

Hi there, I am currently working on improving accessibility of koha opac site with our accessibility expert. One of the things we noticed is that the advanced search option is not only confusing for blind users but also even for normal users. I have noticed the following issues with it: 1) By default the Fewer Options option is selected, which is not obvious to the normal users until they click on More Options. 2) The layout could be a lot better, in particular the Fewer Options search form is quite abstract in what it does. For example, the default boolean operator is AND which is not obvious to even normal user. In my opinion, layout similar to the one http://kea.massey.ac.nz/search/X, is better. rebuild_zebra: Biblios aren't displayed anymore

Hi all Since I have done a rebuild of the zebra index with /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -a -r the biblios and items aren't displayed anymore with the search results. You can try it at http://bibliothek.ksobwalden.ch/ using for instancs the author Thomas Mann. The result shows 7 hints (witch is likely the number of Thomas Mann as an author or co-author). But alle the seven hints are marked with "Kein Titel" If I use the inventory tool then the biblios are shown an I can even edit them. /var/log/koha/koha-opac-error.log shows some errors like: [Mon Oct 22 14:43:23 2012] [error] [client 180.76.5.146] [Mon Oct 22 14:43:23 2012] opac-detail.pl: Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/prog/en/modules/opac-detail.tt line 746. What's wrong? It's Koha 3.08.05 with Perl 5.010001 Zebra 2.0.52 on debian squeeze. Beda

Thanks, that worked perfectly I want the biblio number because we're using it as part of our matching rules during import. The biblio numbers are being added into the appropriate records pre-upload, because I can't write a matching rule that includes subtitle and edition. This will become even more useful when we import data from a branch which duplicates about 80% of what's already in the main collection. Thanks again!
