Dear friends, We want to attach several URLs to the MARC record. Since the 856 $u field is repeatable, we have decided to clone the subfield several times. Yet, when we search for the record in the OPAC, only the first link is displayed in the results' page, meanwhile the other ones are not visible at all. We have a similar problem with the 856 $y field as well. All subfields are concatenated in one field and are displayed as a one text. We want to have all links each one with its appropriate text value, and of course, displayed separately. Is it possible? Thank you in advance,

Trouble with new items in processing
by Agnes Rivers-Moore 11 Jan '13

11 Jan '13

Dear Koha friends First, my apologies if this is a repeat - I posted and waited 4 hours before trying again. We just upgraded to Koha 3.6, build 10. We turned on the NewItemsDefaultLocation setting. (We are not using the processing to cart option.) According to the manual, the act of checking in an item should revert the PROC location to the permanent location as catalogued. This is not happening for us. The location does change from Shelves to In Processing when the item is saved. However it does not revert to the saved location when the item is checked in. Location is still PROC. I checked the table row, and it does have location PROC, permanent location Shelves. After checking it in, timestamp is updated, but the two location columns are not changed. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong? Thank you Agnes -- This email was Anti Virus checked by Astaro Security Gateway. http://www.astaro.com

Dear Koha kommunitarians, I'm harvesting news for this month's newsletter. Please send me by the 20th anything you think your fellow community members might like to know about. "News" can be as short as a sentence or as long as a paper. I especially encourage you to send me a line or two for the gossip/society column about what you're currently working on. And if you know of a go-live not announced on the list, please be sure to let me know about it. Thanks, Daniel Grobani

Koha Routing List Email Alerts
by Anselm Olweny 11 Jan '13

11 Jan '13

Dear Colleagues, I am using koha version 3.08. I have correctly added a serial subscription and created a routing list. However, when I receive a new issue of the serial, an email alert is not sent to/received by the members I have added in the routing list for the serial. Could anyone kindly guide me on why this may be happening and what I need to do so that email alerts are sent to the members in the routing list. Thanks Anselm

Koha reports, include cataloguer
by Paul 10 Jan '13

10 Jan '13

I am trying to "customize" some of our MySQL reports, to include the cataloguer who made the entry, with: SELECT whatever.... FROM biblio whatever FROM items action_logs.user FROM action_logs RIGHT JOIN biblioitems ON biblio.biblionumber = biblioitems.biblionumber LEFT JOIN items ON biblio.biblionumber = items.biblionumber WHERE whatever but need a JOIN clause for action_logs (could be RIGHT? timestamp? = ?) Without the third line the report is fully functional. Could someone kindly assist? Thanks and best regards, Paul
