Enquire about Paid Support Vendor for KOHA
by contact＠viavitae.co.in 08 Jan '13

08 Jan '13

Dear Sir, We are interested to be a paid support provider for Koha. In this regards we want to know that: a. Is this possible to charge price for enhanced customization and support rendering for Koha. (we found that it is under GPL; is there any issue for charging for customization, installation and provide support through the year). b. If it is possible, then please give us a guideline to how to become a paid support provider (vendor) for koha. Looking for your kind response. Regards Via Vitae Solutions

Koha - Calendar
by Maxine Murphy 08 Jan '13

If a Branch Library is closed and the Central Library is open, can we have two different due dates for the same day issued. Eg 1week loan period Branch & Central Library open on the 1st Date due for Central is the 8th , but the Branch Library is closed this day. So I am wanting the Branch Library's due date to be their next opening day which is the 10th. Authorities not linking in 3.10
by Elaine Bradtke 07 Jan '13

07 Jan '13

We recently uploaded a batch of records where the 610 and 710 fields in them did not link to their relevant authority records. We ran link bibs to authorities, and also re-indexed. But there is nothing in any of the $9 for these fields. The records in this import were overwriting old records which had fully linked 100, 650 and 700 fields. The 610 and 710 fields are new additions. The 100, 650 and 700 fields that were there before seem to work ok. So it appears, these new fields aren't linking. Please read http://www.itcompany.com/inforetriever/punctuation.htm (no longer mainteined) http://www.docstoc.com/docs/4900496/MARC21-closing-punctuation-and-other-in… or other results from a G search for 'marc21 punctuation'. by Nora Blake 03 Jan '13

Hello all, Does anyone out there use a Citizen's receipt printer successfully with Koha? If you do, would you be able to share instructions on how you configured it to work? Problem with Zebra Index - Koha v3.08.001
by Quoc Uy 03 Jan '13

03 Jan '13

First take a look at all preferences with keyword "zebra", make sure zebra is enabled. Next, look at the cronjob in koha. Try with this command (for Debian) $sudo ps aux | grep zebrasrv (or something like that) to check zebra index server is working on your server. Then look that the koha-common file in /etc/cron.d/koha-common ( you can search with command $locate koha-common) and check for right command crontab. (I'm using Koha packages installed on Ubuntu). If Zebra is not working, you can search for barcode with search the cataloge, but now with the title or name... Hope this can help!
