Koha 3.10 New Staff Interface
by Chrispin Simasiku Sitali 26 Dec '12

26 Dec '12

Merry Christmas fellow koha users. I just installed koha 3.10.01 and when i first logged in I found this new layout in the staff interface. I set up the library, user as per the new rule in koha 3.10, setup the rules, currency etc. Lo and behold! when I went back to my home page in the staff client the new layout in the staff interface disappeared (went for Xmas holiday I presume!) Please help I need this new layout back. I have attached an image Sitali C. S. -- Charles Lwanga College of Education, P. O. Box 660193, Monze, ZAMBIA. Mobile: +26 0979 869471 SKYPE: Libsitali

Regression on local cover images upload?
by Manos PETRIDIS 26 Dec '12

26 Dec '12

Has anyone else had problems uploading local images? I'm at v3.08.04.000 for quite some time and I find that I can no longer upload local cover images. I can reach /cgi-bin/koha/tools/upload-cover-image.pl, select a file to upload and press the "upload file" button. The "upload progress" bar appears, stays for a sec at 0% and then disappears. No file seems to be uploaded, no further processing seems to happen. Manos

Question about instances and VPS
by Quoc Uy 26 Dec '12

26 Dec '12

I install Koha on a VPS. I create instances for my student and other librarians to test and learn about Koha. I have some questions: 1. How many instances can i create? (it's subdomain www.xxx.mylibrary.com) 2. And for example, 100-200 instances, is that problem with my VPS when they all work together? Do i have to care about my VPS's RAM, chipset, HDD, internet bandwidth, or something like that? Thanks!

Koha 3.6.x EOL
by Jared Camins-Esakov 22 Dec '12

22 Dec '12

Good morning. Earlier today I released Koha 3.6.10, my final release as Release Maintainer for the Koha 3.6.x branch. So far no one has accepted the position of RMaint for 3.6.x during the 3.12 release cycle, despite my various pleas, entreaties, and threats. It is my hope that a new release maintainer will step forward for 3.6.x, since I believe that this branch has not yet exhausted its usefulness, but until this happens the 3.6.x branch should be considered orphaned, and libraries should begin to consider upgrading to 3.8.x or the forthcoming 3.10. One further note about 3.6.10: this upgrade included fixes for several cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Koha that have been present at least since 3.4. ALL USERS OF KOHA SHOULD UPGRADE TO THE LATEST RELEASE ON THE BRANCH THEY ARE FOLLOWING TO RECEIVE PROTECTION FROM THESE THREATS.
