In the marc records, the call number is in the 082 field, that is associated to cn_class index. Or is that the call number sorting is made it by another field and not by the 082 ?? Please any help. Dear Friends, I tried to connect cronjob with anacron. I added the following lines in anacron file. Open the file gedit /etc/anacrontab And add the following lines in it and save. 1 10 cron.daily koha-foreach /etc/cron.daily This line will execute Koha related crontab daily after 10 minutes when system start. A couple Koha acquisitions questions

Hi everyone, YBP is a book wholesaler for academic libraries. We have several libraries now using Koha as their ILS. The acquisitions functionality seems a little light, and less integrated than we have with other systems. Could you confirm the following for me? 1. Is there any EDI functionality in Koha yet? Can libraries send EDIFACT Orders and/or receive EDIFACT POAs or Invoices? 2. If a library has placed an order in the book vendor's online system, is there any way to load that order information into Koha without rekeying? Some systems we work with can accept acquisitions data in 9xx MARC fields to populate into an order record automatically. I've spoken with a couple support companies and reviewed the documentation on the Koha-community site, but don't see that these are possibilities. Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide. Koha users browser preference?

Hello Koha community! We are taking a look at the Koha ILS currently. We haven't begun implementation yet but I figured sending a hello and question to the list wouldn't hurt. I'm curious to know if Koha works better in one browser over another browser? I understand that it works in all browsers but I'd like to hear what those using it think. Here we typically use Firefox, IE or Chrome on Windows. Links shelving locations to maps

Hi there, Brooklyn Law School Library would like to share with everyone the simple solution to link your shelving locations to maps. The only one challenge is that the script cannot extend 80 characters. 1. --> Go to staff module 2. --> Administration 3. --> Show category 4. --> LOC 5. --> Description (OPAC) 6. --> Edit 7. --> Description (OPAC) 8. --> Enter script (<center><a href="https://services.brooklaw.edu/library/I.pdf"><br>INT'L</a>) You have to store your maps on your local server. It would be really beneficial if more characters could be added to each category, it doesn't seem to be the big development. I hope that this will improve our OPACS display and make our users very happy. Koha saml support

Hello, With the release of Koha 3.10 I figured that saml authentication support would have been included. Several websites (http://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2010-August/024960.html) mention that the new release will include this feature. However I'm unable to find any information about it. Try reloading the page using CTRL + R to force reload. Works for me. Of course previously copy the missing files in the template usint Vimal tips.

Home screen in staff interface - inactive links

Just testing out 3.10 I noticed (at least in our installation) the home screen in the staff interface has changed from a tabbed layout to three boxes (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0ag4Jlx4aGmUTZlY0tydDN3Qkk) The links below the boxes - Check out Check in, Search patrons, Search catalog - don't actually go anywhere. The doesn't seem right to me. Import patrons tool

Am I correct in assuming that this tool can only be used for batch updating of patron info if all of the existing info for each patron is included in the CSV file to be uploaded? In other words, I can't simply provide the bare minimum info & then whatever new info is desired because all of the blank field values will overwrite the values in the corresponding fields in Koha.
