Trouble with new items in processing

Dear Koha friends First, my apologies if this is a repeat - I posted and waited 4 hours before trying again. We just upgraded to Koha 3.6, build 10. We turned on the NewItemsDefaultLocation setting. (We are not using the processing to cart option.) According to the manual, the act of checking in an item should revert the PROC location to the permanent location as catalogued. This is not happening for us. The location does change from Shelves to In Processing when the item is saved. However it does not revert to the saved location when the item is checked in. Location is still PROC. I checked the table row, and it does have location PROC, permanent location Shelves. After checking it in, timestamp is updated, but the two location columns are not changed. Koha Routing List Email Alerts

Dear Colleagues, I am using koha version 3.08. I have correctly added a serial subscription and created a routing list. However, when I receive a new issue of the serial, an email alert is not sent to/received by the members I have added in the routing list for the serial. Could anyone kindly guide me on why this may be happening and what I need to do so that email alerts are sent to the members in the routing list. Thanks Anselm

Koha reports, include cataloguer

I am trying to "customize" some of our MySQL reports, to include the cataloguer who made the entry, with: SELECT whatever.... FROM biblio whatever FROM items action_logs.user FROM action_logs RIGHT JOIN biblioitems ON biblio.biblionumber = biblioitems.biblionumber LEFT JOIN items ON biblio.biblionumber = items.biblionumber WHERE whatever but need a JOIN clause for action_logs (could be RIGHT? timestamp? = ?) Without the third line the report is fully functional. Could someone kindly assist? Thanks and best regards, Paul

Problem With Scanning Barcodes

For some time our library has experienced problems with scanning library card barcodes into Koha for checkout or book barcodes for cataloging, and the system returns a patron (if library card) or item record (if book), different from that scanned in. The problem appears seemingly at random intervals and infrequently, but in time clusters. It happens at two different locations, on different computers at each location, and with those computers using different barcode readers. This suggests the problem is not related to the client workstations or barcode readers. I'm never close to the computers when this happens, so I can't determine if the barcode numbers are close (off by one digit or initial/terminal digit?), or if there is any other relationship. I suspect neither. I wonder if it may be something internal to Koha; I'm unsure what the time clustering (two days ago it happened approximately eight times) implies. We have also recently changed the system setting "CircAutocompl" to "don't try" for a non-related issue; we'll see if that makes a difference with the scanning. Analytic records question

We're planning on using Koha's analytic records to handle cataloging of our ereaders and the ebooks loaded onto them. (Info on analytic records here: http://manual.koha-community.org/3.8/en/cataloging.html#cataloganalytics) I'm able to link our ebook record to the record for our ereader. When I check out the ereader, it is correctly checked out in both the staff & public interfaces, as expected. The record for the ebook, however, shows that it is still available (while also showing that the ereader is checked out). Is this the expected behavior? Our preference would be for the ebook to show as checked out as well, even though there's no guarantee that this particular item was desired or read by the patron and we may have to make adjustments to our circulation statistics. Sorry, I missed the IRC general meeting this morning at 2AM my time. I need to pay attention to the difference between AM and PM. We are having the contract reviewed by our county attorney. The conference will run Wed. Bit of code appears on screen

Could someone tell me where I can fix this? I can't see where it is coming from. Koha 3.06.04.000 *********************************************** We have noticed a script error in the library's Koha search interface that leaves an unintended bit of program code showing in the upper left-hand corner of search interface. You can see an example of it here: http://catalog.streamnetlibrary.org/cgi-bin/koha/opac-shelves.pl?viewshelf=… The '//]]>' bit in the upper left should not be there and is the result of a commented-out piece of code that should either be removed or placed before the end </script> tag above it. I have included an image that shows the location in the code of the issue. Is this something that you have control over and could fix? If so, it would be a great help. Van is actually encapsulating the search interface into another website, which he has working well, but the stuff in the left corner sticks out like sore thumb! Troble with author import

I have a problem with db impot in koha(3.6). Troble in uncorrect filling 100$a author subfield. A biblio.author of 3.6 works differently(when I manually create a book) as in 3.4, it's create some kind datecode and then recording author(20121007 frey50 | Akunin B). But when I have making import system create only datecode ( for ex. 20121007 frey50) and no info about the author. In earlier version (3.4) import was and everything worked grate.
