Hi! We use koha 3.12 and we have today a problem with our opac. When we do a search, it gives no results (but, the professional search work fine). I run zebra as a user named koha and the ownership of files are ok. I've checked some systempreferences as "hidelostitem" and "opacsuppression": all is ok. An idea? Best regards Samuel

Patron Category Type error

Dear all, When adding a new patron category, the "Category Type" dropdown list remain stuck on "General patron types" (in the Global System Preference > Patrons > AddPatronLists) when I have selected "Specific categories". Furthermore, an error message appeared when Save: Object doesn't support this property or method. Categorie.pl / Line:247 Code:0 / Char:17 Does anyone know how to solve this problem. Why we can't import bibliographic records using matching rule "LOC"?

Hi list. We use Koha 3.10.05 . We exported from Aleph all our database (260 000 records ) and imported it into Koha and it worked. But now we must export every day from Aleph and import into Koha but have this problem. We can't import bibliographic records using matching rule "LOC"? Like I said before, after learning about Koha and linux using the Live DVD first Mizstik's *Koha Live* CD then Vimal Kumar's. After doing several installations and gaining enough confidence and experience I am able to install Koha in most linux distros. I remember the embarrassment of asking for a Live DVD at KohaCon12 during the Hackfest! All this is behind me now. At my institution, Charles Lwanga College of Education in Southern Zambia we now have Koha 3.12 in Debian Wheezy which I installed with no problems at all except for tinymce2 that Koha grumbled about but was able to install from http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/tinymce2 and then ftp.uk.debian.org/debian<http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/pool/main/t/tinymce2/tinymce2_2.1.3-1_all.d…> afterwards installed the tinymce2 deb package using GDebi package installer. Millenium to Koha Data Migration

Hello, I work in a public library using III Millennium, software release 2011 1.2, release date June 2012. We are part of a consortium using Millennium and as such, we would need to contact the Millennium administrator in order to obtain the data in the best format possible for transfer into the latest version of Koha. I do have an old MARC dump from 4 years ago, available to view on the Internet Archive, located here: http://archive.org/details/CollingswoodLibraryMarcDump10-27-2008, which I have been using to test out on a Koha demo. However, it was simply formatted for storage purposes and as such is not in the optimal format for transfer into Koha. Has anyone worked on a transfer from III Millennium to Koha before, and if so, what are some suggestions for facilitating the data migration? How should we have the Millennium administrator format the MARC data in order to make for an easy transfer? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Item types vs CCODE (Collection codes)

Dear all, Just started to migrate from our existing ILMS to Koha and working through the "Basic Parameters", I am a little curious between Item Types and CCODE (Collection Codes). It seems to me that Item Types really is Collections, as it allows you to set lending permission, etc. Whereas CCODE, you cannot set lending permission. Our lending policy is based on individual collection, not item types. For example, books are found in fiction, non-fiction, reference, etc., and most can be borrowed, except those in the reference collection. Finally, Call Numbers in our old ILMS consists of: Prefix, Main Number, Suffix. Prefix is setup in the Collection parameter. For example, when selected Reference Collection, "REF" is automatically inserted as Prefix. Whereas Prefix is ignored when Non-fiction Collection is selected (we have left prefix as blank). I have the same or similar issue. Upgrading from 3.10.5 to 3.12 the holdings tab show nothing. In the administrative part all the info show right. Lubuntu 12.04 Koha 3.10.4 to 3.12 Installed with debian packages Saludos.

New ghost records

Hello all. Another question for the day... I seem to have developed a new rash of ghost records. They show up as nothing and when I click on Edit Biblio, I'm directed to the Add Biblio page. Everything else yields a software error. I think these may be the result of deleting a framework without changing all the frameworks on the records first.
