by chandru1782 23 Sep '13

23 Sep '13

Dear all, I have made a fresh install of Koha 3.12.4 on a Debian machine X, with all the optional set of patrons, libraries, itemtypes etc.,. I have another instance of Koha running in a seperate Debian machine Y. Now I want to restore the data from Y to X without any change to the data in my fresh install X. I request some of the experts here to help me out with the above problem. Thanking you, A. Opac default language
by Stefano Bargioni 20 Sep '13

20 Sep '13

Some years ago I proposed a (raw) solution to set the opac default language other than English: see http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Set-principal-language-td4263943.html If I'm not wrong, this solution was broken by the HttpOnly flag set to true for cookie KohaOpacLanguage at C4/Templates.pm line 310. Is there a way to solve this? Do we need an enhancement, like a new syspref? Thanks. Stefano

RFC: authorities search autocomplete behaviour
by Tomas Cohen Arazi 19 Sep '13

19 Sep '13

Hi, a quick question, based on your experience: once the autocomplete feature in authorities search (cataloguing) retreived several results, the user is expected to click on one of them if it is what he/she was looking for. What should the behaviour be?: a) The clicked authority record should be left in the search field (current) so the user fills some other search fields and then clicks 'Search' button. b) The clicked authority record is shown below so the user can review it and choose it if applicable. c) The clicked authority record is directly chosen for linking and the pop up window closes. Thanks in advance. To+

koha, import batches and cleaning records
by schnydszch 19 Sep '13

19 Sep '13

Hello Koha users and developers! I'm using Koha 3.12.4, the database of which were imported from previous koha versions, from 3.2 (?) to 3.6 to 3.8 to 3.12. Now my situation: I have imported a lot of marc records, this is stored in the mysql database. looking at the tables, table import_records occupies big amount, now it occupies 417.5 MB. Now, my question is, can i delete any records here? Are the records not imported reflected here? (e.g. Staged, Cleaned, etc.) And if I delete records here, are there any repercussions in my koha? Thanks in advance and have a nice day! -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/koha-import-batches-and-cleaning-records-… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Reset database, rebuild zebra problem.
by clint.deckard 18 Sep '13

18 Sep '13

Greetings, 3.12 Debian packages. I wished to remove bibs and items for a Koha instance, I truncated the biblio and biblioitems tables but searching still showed records (but no items). Running koha-rebuild-zebra -f -v instance did not change anything. After *much* searching I tried ./rebuild_zebra.pl (with and without sudo). Complained about not finding C4. I think this was wrong and I have broken permissions. I have just read Robin's email about a similar issue in July but not sure how to recover from this one. One way forward might be to remove the instance and recreate with backup. Would this work? Sorry for the trouble and I appreciate the assistance.
