Email to newly created patron

Hi everyone, I have a Koha installation that I have been trying to get to send an email to newly created patron without much luck. Koha version: 3.14.3 Debian package (Now upgraded to 3.14.4) I have the AutoEmailOpacUser systempreference set to "send" and AutoEmailPrimaryAddress set to "first valid". The Koha instance is enabled for email and the checkin, checkout email notices actually get sent by the server. I have checked the server's email log and see nothing to show that the email got to the smtp server (exim4). The Koha staff client error log however has the below errors (I have no idea if they are relevant to the issue though) preferences.pl: Use of uninitialized value in goto at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/admin/preferences.pl line 57., memberentry.pl: Use of uninitialized value $_ in hash element at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/members/memberentry.pl line 825., Use of uninitialized value in anonymous hash ({}) at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/members/memberentry.pl line 825., memberentry.pl: Use of uninitialized value $_ in hash element at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/members/memberentry.pl line 825., memberentry.pl: Use of uninitialized value in anonymous hash ({}) at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/members/memberentry.pl line 825., memberentry.pl: Use of uninitialized value $_ in hash element at /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/members/memberentry.pl line 825., [error] moremember.pl: Argument "" isn't numeric in numeric lt (<) at /usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/includes/borrower_debarments.inc line 65., (I did snip some of the words on the line though) Anyone has any ideas on what is happening and tips on getting this resolved? Dear colleagues, please let me know how you charge postal charge in case of overdue. We're sendig postal cards on second overdue notice and we charge of postal services. Is here some way to charge it automatically into fines of patron? Or every thic case must be done manually? Thank you for assistance. Mike

Database in specific directory & backup

hi to all. two questions: 1. is it possible to save the koha database in a specific directory, like in home directory in a second hard drive? 2. for making regular backups is it better to have only one partition in an hard drive (system + data) and create an image file of the hard disk and save it in other storage devices instead of having an hard disk for system and another for data? z39.50 search not working

A couple weeks ago, I was in the middle of cataloging a stack of books. The z39.50 search function worked for one book and then on the next book, it stopped working and I haven't yet figured it out. I usually use the Library of Congress, Biblios, and Access PA z39.50 sites. The messages I'm getting are: "connection failed to 1x2.loc.gov" and "nothing found". There have been no new security things or firewalls installed (this is a school computer). And it literally happened from one book to the next. Any ideas? Thanks, Shelley

ISBN report

I've searched through the reports site but can't find anything that sounds like it will do what I want. It's a simple report, but I just can't work it out... any help would be very much appreciated. I need a report to list every ISBN in my collection - a simple but very long results list. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to put it into SQL? Thank you for your help, Kerrie
