Dear Friends, I am using Koha 3.14.11. Lot of patrons have overdue with fine. But fine does not calculate and show the amount. It display the amount 0. I tried to manually run the koha-common from /etc/cron.daily/koha-common from terminal. The command executed successfully, but fine amount still 0. How can I overcome this problem? KohaCon14 is over, welcome to KohaCon15 in Ibadan (Nigeria) !
by Paul Poulain 29 Oct '14

29 Oct '14

Hello, KohaCon14 is now done. We had a great time in Cordoba: lot of talks, lot of code, lot of (good) food and drink (beer). Every year, the next KohaCon location is announced at the end of the KohaCon. This year, we had only one candidate, so they win the deal ! Congratulation to Ibadan, Nigeria, that will host the KohaCon15. If you want more info, you can have a look at http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon15_Proposals Note that we already have one candidate for KohaCon16, in the Philippines (http://wiki.koha-community.org/w/index.php?title=Kohacon16_proposals) (It's not time to vote for KohaCon16, we will do that in Q2/Q3 2015. We will call for candidate "officially" in april/may) -- Paul Poulain, Associé-gérant / co-owner BibLibre, expert du logiciel libre pour les bibliothèques BibLibre, Open Source software for libraries expert

Z39.50 server timing out
by CTS-Programmer 3 (Paul Dokken) 27 Oct '14

I am trying some public library Z39.50 sites but am realizing that they are timing out or not responding. I have tried 199.197.115.61:210, z3950.nexpresslibrary.org:5110, sekls.bywatersolutions.com :9998 but they all seem to timeout or give me an error. I tried http://zserver.spl.org/ into the URL of a browser and I get an error yet I can pull up www.spl.org just fine. If I try http://lx2.loc.gov:210/ it works fine. Any ideas why all the others fail except for the Library of Congress? Our server is located in Papua New Guinea and we use a VSAT internet connection. SIP2 Problem
by Abdulsalam Yousef 27 Oct '14

27 Oct '14

Hi All, We are using Amazon EC2 linux wheezy (64 bit) instance for running koha 3.16.01, We are running Sip2 server now although we changed the line (port="127.0.0.1:6001/tcp") to our amazon private ip like this (port="10.106.151.178:6001/tcp") but when trying to logging by telnet the log file also gets us this error Bad arg length for Socket::unpack_sockaddr_in, length is 28, should be 16 at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/SIP/Socket.pm line 830. Although, the desired ports are opened and there's no any typo. thanks

Data Import problem in lates versions
by Vinod Kumar Mishra 27 Oct '14

Dear All, I am observing some data import related issues in 3.16.3/4 version but when i imported same record in 3.14.5 it worked fine and everything goes well approx 60 thousand record. Now in latest version when i am importing, it stuck at some point/% and ultimately i got error message. The structure of my record is almost similar to below one, I feel their may be some more strict data validating rules in latest version of Koha which cause this problem but my marcedit software does not shows any error during validating the records.
