Question about cover images
by Tim Skeers 01 Nov '14

01 Nov '14

We are running 3.16.03.000 There is a default thumbnail on bib records with no cover images that says "no cover image available." When I upload cover images, the uploaded one appears, but the "no cover image available" one is still there, right below it, in both the public and staff interface. I am checking the option box to "replace existing covers." Any ideas how to get rid of this default filler image? Current Serials
by Coehoorn, Joel 31 Oct '14

Is it possible to do a search in koha to show current periodicals? Our librarians have traditionally compiled this as a PDF... about the least friendly format possible. Ideally, I'd like to replace the link on the web site with one that ran a search in the koha opac to produce the same results. Also, this would result in less work for the librarians, as it would be self-updating. Kohacon15 - Dates
by Olugbenga Adara 31 Oct '14

31 Oct '14

Hello everyone, We are suggesting Kohacon15 for between 19th October to 25th October 2015. This will be in the traditional 3 days conference, 1 day rest / tourist / cultural activities and 3 days hackfest. This is not cast in stone yet but we would like feedback if for any reason these days are not ok for most or we can lock the days in. Cheers -- Olugbenga Adara

Timeout on upgrade script
by Tom Hanstra 31 Oct '14

31 Oct '14

I'm trying to track down a problem that occurs on upgrade. I have two servers which should be identical because one was cloned from the other. However, on the newer, cloned server, when I upgrade from 3.06.04 to the same 3.14.07 version of Koha, the second server times out with this error in the log: [Fri Oct 31 14:52:48 2014] [warn] [client 10.41.63.84] Timeout waiting for output from CGI script /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/installer/install.pl, referer: https://lupprod-vm.library.nd.edu:8443/cgi-bin/koha/installer/install.pl?st… [Fri Oct 31 14:52:48 2014] [error] [client 10.41.63.84] Script timed out before returning headers: install.pl, referer: https://lupprod-vm.library.nd.edu:8443/cgi-bin/koha/installer/install.pl?st… What might have caused this? And if I get it, can I be confident that the upgrade script actually worked despite the timeout or is this indicative of an error during upgrade? Thanks, Tom

Cataloguing multi-volume sets
by Željko Puškarić 30 Oct '14

Hi Indeed, I am using UNIMARC. Could someone confirm if it can be done in case of UNIMARC or what needs to be done to enable functionality if it's not possible at the moment? Željko -----Original Message----- From: Katrin Fischer [mailto:Katrin.Fischer.83@web.de] Sent: Monday, October 27, 2014 7:40 PM To: Željko Puškarić Subject: Re: [Koha] Cataloguing multi-volume sets Hi Željko, I missed the screenshot earlier :( I don't know how this can be done in UNIMARC - my solution is MARC21. I think it is possible in the standard, but not sure at all about the implementation in Koha. I am sorry!
