Dear All, I am a librarian at private pharma company, Currently we are using librarian software (Paid), I would like to migrate from Librarian to Koha Can it possible to export all data in Koha successfully ? I am a new for Koha, can some guide from beginning ? How to install Koha in Windows 7 ? & What preparation / pre-requirements are necessary? And Import & Export guidelie. mysqldump file restore problem

I have mysqldump backup file koha.sql. i want to restore it to my new server by this command mysql -u root -p koha </home/koha/koha14062015.sql but shows this error ERROR 1064 (42000) at line 203911169: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'au:Thompson, D. J., and au:Thompson, D. Hi all, I just imported a collection (from Winnebago-Spectrum) to Koha for one of my schools. I have noticed that we seem to have quite a few biblios / records that we have "no items available" for. ie: one item will show as: Availability: No items available: The (seemingly) same book will show right below it as : Availability: *Copies available:* Alma High School (1), for an example http://198.111.156.193/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=buddy We have the entire collection turned in for the summer, so we do not have any checked out, and we cleaned up the Winnebago-Spectrum system (as best we could) before the export. I am having our librarian look over the system now, to make sure that it looks correct. But I'm starting to wonder if there is a way to remove the records that show "No items available" ?? Is there a way to clean this up, and only display items that we have available with copies in our collection ?? thanks for any advise on this. -S

"appears to pull up a basic Koha version 3.03 -- which is somewhat out of date." --- thanks, I'll keep that in mind....I've been using that version for a couple years now at another school, and it's rock solid. If it ain't broke...... "search function apparently can't find anything at all..." --- sorry...was doing a couple rebuilds and a quick VM backup....feel free to try now.... I have a feeling I may know where these odd records/issues came from.... I just would point out that this list tends to follow the latest versions (+/- 3.18 currently) which have made considerable advances in many areas (we're not a lending library, just reference, so do not need most of the enhancements.) I might also suggest to you that 3.06|3.08 made a quantum leap forward on the data cataloguing side which we have leveraged to enormous user (staff and public) satisfaction.
