SQL Query - Items with a Local Cover Image
by Craig Butosi 27 Mar '16

27 Mar '16

Hi all, Koha 3.22 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (package install) I`m trying to write a basic SQL query to pull all items with a local cover image. I`m running Coce now, so I no longer need to upload local cover images to Koha. I need to identify these records so I can remove their images. I have a basic query: SELECT biblionumber FROM biblioimages WHERE biblionumber AND imagefile IS NOT NULL which works, but only returns the biblionumber column from the biblioimages table. I`d like to add a call number column from the items table to this report. I`ve tried this SELECT biblionumber FROM biblioimages LEFT JOIN items ON biblioimages.biblionumber=items.itemcallnumber WHERE biblionumber AND imagefile IS NOT NULL But I get an ambiguity error, and I don`t quite understand how to apply an alias to overcome this. The error is as follows: Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons.) Koha and letsencrypt client on Debian 8
by Indranil Das Gupta 25 Mar '16

25 Mar '16

Hi all, Koha's vhost file typically puts in both the opac and the staff client vhost definition in the same file. I've been playing with Letsencrypt and so far it only supports configurations with only one single vhost per .conf file. I've no problem handling it myself, but I would like to hear how others using / evaluating LE for use with Koha are tackling the issue. thanks -- Indranil Das Gupta L2C2 Technologies Phone : +91-98300-20971 Blog : http://indradg.randomink.org/blog IRC : indradg on irc://irc.freenode.net Twitter : indradg -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Please exchange editable Office documents only in ODF Format. Apparently, our installation for Koha has been throwing a lot of these errors in the log the past couple of weeks. Any idea what we might have done to break our search function? Question about SQL query
by Lenora Oftedahl 23 Mar '16

23 Mar '16

SELECT biblio.biblionumber, SUBSTRING(biblioitems.marcxml, LOCATE('<subfield code="a">', biblioitems.marcxml, LOCATE('<datafield tag="029"', biblioitems.marcxml)+19), LOCATE('</subfield>', biblioitems.marcxml, LOCATE('<subfield code="a">', biblioitems.marcxml, LOCATE('<datafield tag="029"', biblioitems.marcxml)+19)) - LOCATE('<subfield code="a">', biblioitems.marcxml, LOCATE('<datafield tag="029"', biblioitems.marcxml)+19)) AS SNRefID FROM biblioitems, biblio WHERE biblioitems.biblionumber = biblio.biblionumber In this SQL query, what does the +19 do? I'm trying to write a report to pull out all the catalog records for a select group of documents by 029 subfield A. I think my current results are from the 035 A subfield which is not what I'm asking for.

Salvete! As an ugly, stubborn, arrogant American, I simply refuse to believe that there are no Korean libraries running Koha. If you are working at a Korean Library, won't you please take a few moments and add your Library to the East Asia user's page? https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaUsers/EastAsia If you have trouble editing the page, feel free to send your information directly to me. 감사함니다, Brooke

Label Printing with Zebra GK420t
by Tom Misilo 23 Mar '16

23 Mar '16

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the GK420t and printing labels with Koha? I am trying to get it to print, but not sure if I am putting the values in right, as it prints blank most of the time, or cut off. Thanks, Tom
