Circulation and no barcode in library

Hello All, I have installed koha 16.11 with the update and am using ubuntu 14.0, the library that i have installed koha on,do not have access to barcode reader or scanners and hence it has become a problem, because when checking out a book to a patron,you need to input the barcode number,likewise when checking in. Apache configuration warning

Hi all I just updated to Koha 16.11.01 apache2ctl configtest gives me: [Tue Jan 10 09:42:37.044816 2017] [core:warn] [pid 1986] AH00111: Config variable ${instance} is not defined [Tue Jan 10 09:42:37.044877 2017] [core:warn] [pid 1986] AH00111: Config variable ${instance} is not defined Syntax OK I hadn't that bevore. Hi Makaut, I'm catching up on emails, and I saw your thread about zebra facets. While I haven't looked into your problem with "LIMIT by availability", I see that you read the email I wrote about Zebra facets last year (http://www.mail-archive.com/koha-devel@lists.koha-community.org/msg08132.ht…) I actually investigated that further and I've documented it all at https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=17871. Turns out that was a bug in YAZ, which is a tool used with Zebra. The changes you made to the configuration file were good, and I'm looking at getting those pushed into the Koha core code. Sorry I'm not able to help more, but there's just a bit more explanation about what was happening with the facets. Barcode length

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding barcode length in Koha. I'm importing a new biblio database and some barcodes have length of 26 or 28 and so on. Koha's database schema limits the barcode field in the items table to varchar(20). My question is: Is it okay to manually alter this field length? As so: *ALTER TABLE items MODIFY barcode VARCHAR(40);* What sort of problems can this cause in the future? Do I have to apply this change everytime I update Koha to a newer version? Problem in database

Hi everyone, I hope you are fine and doing well. I have problem in koha i think the database for Zebra not updating, I'm create some of new category (books) in koha and saved it , but when i search it this book the massage appear no result found ,but when i need to barrow the same books, i can barrow from koka admin. how can update database for zebra . Note, i don't have any problem in old book , i can do search and the result appear .
