items table has more records than in biblio table and biblioitems tables !!

After doing an import, the items table in koha is having 7 more records than in biblio and biblioitems tables. How does this happen? How to fix this? -With Thanks & Regards Tanzeem M.B

Import records and update items

Hi, I'm running Koha 16.05.05 and would like to add barcodes to all existing items afterwards. I export bibliographic data for one library, including items in marc format. Then I edit the records using MarcEdit and add some barcodes. I reimport the records using the stage marc records for import tool with matching rule on controlnumber 001. I select "Ignore incoming records" and "Replace items if matching bib was found (only for existing items)". After the import is complete, Koha displays "number of records ignored" = 1 and "number of items replaced" = 1. But when I view the record in staff and OPAC view, nothing changed. According to this mail matching on items is done checking 952 $p https://lists.katipo.co.nz/public/koha/2015-April/042590.html. But my existing items don't have any barcodes yet. Do you know a workaround for this? Circ stats of deleted items

Dear Colleagues, Will someone please remind me if the circulation statistics of an item are included in something like a year-end report if the item was deleted from Koha before the report was run. My institution's circulation numbers are down this year and we're attempting to discover why. Hello Koha community, I am a system administrator at Arizona State University and have inherited a Koha database. I have been wanting to dabble in Koha for a while so now I am jumping into a full live database. The original setup was running Koha 3.x (sorry I don't have the original version readily available) but I am updating hardware and software for the library and in doing so we are now using Koha 16.05. Now the reason for the posting, everything appears to have imported properly into the new build but one problem I am having is when exporting spine labels to PDF it capitalizes everything. When I view the item record, go through the quick spine label creator or export to csv the capitalization is correct. I have not been able to find where to change this. When I search for a bibliographic record using advanced search with barcode eg 35 I get all the records with barcode containing 35, ie 135,35, 3501 etc. how can I limit the search to getting the record with barcode exactly matching "35" only?

Koha 16.05 - Holds Script - Run Frequency

Hi all, Koha 16.05 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Can someone confirm the name and location of the script that controls the processing of hold requests? By 'processing' I mean when a patron clicks on "Place Hold" from the OPAC, and then that request gets entered into the "Holds to Pull" screen in the staff client. I see in directory /etc/koha/cron.hourly/ there is a script called "build_holds_queue.pl". Is this the one? If it is, then if I wanted to run it as frequently as every 15 minutes (instead of every hour), how would I go about doing that (I've never had to edit a cron in the cron.hourly folder, only in crontab)? Are there any issues will running this script more frequently than every hour? Mistakes (?) in wiki pages

What is the standard procedure for reporting possible errors in wiki pages? The reason I ask is that during my attempts to install Koha from (1) Debian packages, and (2) a git development environment, I have run into a small number of commands or config file lines in the wiki pages I used that I had to change. Storage engine type pending_offline_operations

Hi, Does anyone have know why pending_offline_operations is using MyISAM as it's storage engine? It seems to be the only table left using it. It's a small concern when considering database backup procedures - table locking specifically. I see some old bugs relating to this table but nothing specifically discussing the storage engine.
