Koha 16.05 - Change MARC framework globally on batch of records?
by Craig Butosi 21 Mar '17

21 Mar '17

Hi all, Koha 16.05 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (package install) Is there a way to globally change the MARC framework on a batch of bib records, rather than one-by-one (perhaps by way of an SQL command)? I noticed that when uploading records from within MARCEdit via the Koha API, the records are imported under the original Default framework, rather than our custom framework. I know that you can using the Koha import tool. But I'm just wondering if there's another way without uploading a file. Many thanks! C Craig Butosi, MA, MLIS, B Mus (Hons.) Help - Patrons Deletions- best practice
by SATISH 21 Mar '17

21 Mar '17

Hi, Currently With Koha 16.5/Package Installation/ Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop / Since last six months I am using Koha (production / live) in the Library. Now, one batch of students are going to complete their course on coming May 2017. I have to stop/ block such students' access for circulation facility. (anyhow, expiration date exist for the batch) What are the standard procedures across the libraries following .. 1. Do you delete the patrons when students complete their course ? 2. If retained, what could be the problems? / Or Should not be deleted? 3. If some verification needed in circulation history, will it be available in future as well? 4. Or any other best practice with patron management that you follow, kindly share ? With Thanks Satish MV Librarian Govt. Engineering College, Hassan Karnataka

Set Library - Not Displaying all Libraries
by Admire Mutsikiwa 21 Mar '17

21 Mar '17

Hi I have a Koha instance with three separate branch libraries installed. I am running Koha version 16.11.05.000 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I have a staff user whom I have assigned to one of the Libraries as his home library. However, when he logs on his, he is not defaulted to his home library. In addition, he cannot set it using the "Set library" option as he is not presented with all the three libraries except the first branch library I created. With memcached enable still take 6 sec to load
by edmundhei 20 Mar '17

I have enabled memcached but it still take around 6 sec to load a page. Is this normal? Or is this a hardware problem? What kind of spec require to run koha smoothly? I only have around 200-400 books and 3-4 users. -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/With-memcached-enable-still-take-6-sec-to… Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
