Re: [Koha] Koha Digest, Vol 139, Issue 48

Hi Marc, I cleared the cookies in the browser (using Chrome latest version on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and MariaDB) Memcached was not installed so I installed it and started it. Plack did not install so I went through the process of setting up Placek and restarting apache. On the staff client if I log in as the master user koha_<instance name>, I do get a menu. When I select functions at that menu it takes me to the login screen. If I log in with my patron credentials (which I set for all librarian functions), I still get the error message I reported earlier. However, the line number is now 829 in the same module. The OPAC reports the same error in line 492 as before. I have been in the 16.07 series for some time. I can send the database backup if it will help isolate the upgrade issues. It was created prior to the upgrade on April 26, 2017. We have been down since April 26. Rev. Default Koha to delete records if no items remain?
by Christopher Davis 30 May '17

30 May '17

Dear Colleagues, I know that there is a check box in Koha's Batch item deletion tool for this, but is there a way to have Koha default to automatically delete a title record when its last item record is deleted from the system? I have searched within the Koha system preferences for this default to no avail. We are running Koha 16.11.05. by Manny Tamayao 30 May '17

30 May '17

Dear Koha Community, Only 20 days to go before our Koha Conference will be held in Makati, Philippines. This is to update you on what's going on in the Philippines. Most of you have read and heard news about the terrorist attack in Marawi City, Iligan which is part of Mindanao, a southern island of the Philippines. Our venue in Makati City, the central business district of the Philippines is 1,495.6 km away from Marawi. Our government is doing its best to control the situation there and assures the public safety throughout the nation. Also, since our venue is in the business district additional security are more visible from the city government and the venue itself has its own security personnel. The organizers are cooperating with the local authorities to make sure the safety of all KohaCon participants. You can read this article from CNN for the update http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2017/05/29/AFP-Marawi-control-clearing-ops.h…. Koha ILS Philippines volunteers

link to detail broken in lists with xslt view
by Hugo Agud 29 May '17

29 May '17

Good morning This friday we upgrade one koha 3.22 to 16.11.06 everything goes fine until we check the lists, all links to detail view of the bib record drives to 404.pl., we discovered that the biblionumber was no in the link :S We have done some fresh install, create library with sample data and links to list were working fine, but once we import the data from old server and upgrade mysql server all lists links were broken... after many hours of working we have realized that if we change XSLTListsDisplay into no xslt links are fine again. We have several servers with 1611 and this is only happening with one, but we have tried a new install and upgrade and the behaviour is the same, it is quite weird behaviour, perhaps some combination of syspref??? anybody has faced a similar situation? Re: [Koha] Typos in Koha database description (Table "borrowers")
by Marc Véron 29 May '17

Hi Michael, The typos come from installer/data/mysql/kohastructure.sql The typos can be found in current master as well. Best way to fix the typos is to file a bug on https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/ and then to attach a patch. Typos in Koha database description (Table "borrowers")
by Michael Kuhn 27 May '17

27 May '17

Hi Recently I have found some typos in the SchemaSpy description of table "borrowers". * http://schema.koha-community.org/16_11/tables/borrowers.html 1. In the comment for field "debarred" (YYY-MM-DD) should by replaced by (YYYY-MM-DD) 2. In the comment for field "smsalertnumber" SNS should be replaced by SMS 3. In the comments of fields "contactname", "contacttitle", "guarantorid", "relationship" the term "guarentor" is used, but it should be "guarantor". 4. The comment for field "password" reads "patron/borrower's encrypted password". I think it could be mkore explicit by writing "patron/borrower's MD5 encrypted password". Where can I correct these typos? Best wishes: Michael -- Geschäftsführer · Diplombibliothekar BBS, Informatiker eidg.
