overdue notice text
by Brian Trippodo 06 Jun '17

06 Jun '17

Hi All ~ I've been editing the text of our overdue notices and adding the

fields, but after I made these edits, we are no longer getting overdue notices. This is an example of how I have used the

fields: The following item(s) is/are currently overdue:
Title:<<biblio.title>> Author: <<biblio.author>> Due Date: <<issues.date_due>> Fine: <<items.fine>>
I've checked the documentation and I think that I am using the item>
fields correctly correctly, but since this was the one thing I've changed I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong? I know that the documentation uses this as an example, but does anyone know if you maybe you have to use this same format:
"<<biblio.title>>" by <<biblio.author>>, <<items.itemcallnumber>>, Barcode: <<items.barcode>> , Checkout date: <<issues.issuedate>>, Due date: <<issues.date_due>> Fine: <<items.fine>> Due date: <<issues.date_due>>
Thanks, Brian Brian Trippodo Systems & Electronic Resources Librarian Queens University of Charlotte | Everett Library 1900 Selwyn Avenue | Charlotte, NC 28274 T: 704.688.2766 | E: trippodob(a)queens.edu<mailto:trippodob@queens.edu>

Problems with Indexer in koha 16.11.xx
by Hugo Agud 05 Jun '17

05 Jun '17

Good morning We are experiencing problems with Koha indexer at two differents koha server , it is not indexing new records...both are fresh installs in debian 8 with database upgrade from 3.22 koha version. We have realized that new records are not indexed by the indexer, If we change the indexer to cronjob it works fine, and if we launch the koha-rebuid-zebra it also works fine Anybody has faced a simular situation? There is no info on indexer logs, no errorr anywhere any idea about how to debug it? -- *Hugo Agud - Orex Digital * *www.orex.es <http://www.orex.es>* <http://www.orex.es/> [image: www.orex.es/koha] <http://www.orex.es/koha> [image: www.orex.es/vufind] <http://www.orex.es/vufind> <http://www.orex.es/omeka> Director Calle Sant Joaquin,117, 2º-3ª · 08922 Santa Coloma de Gramanet - Tel: 933 856 138 hagud(a)orex.es · http://www.orex.es/ No imprima este mensaje a no ser que sea necesario. Managing Suggestions - hold books for patron who requested
by BOUIS Sonia 04 Jun '17

04 Jun '17

Hello everybody, My colleagues just asked me if it's possible in Koha to reserve automatically, after received, a book which has been suggested to the patron who has suggested. I have done some searches but I only found a pretty old bug https://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=1887 Does anybody know if it is possible in the last koha versions? Do you have the same need in your libraries? Koha circ & fine rules based on CCODE instead of item type
by Christopher Davis 03 Jun '17

03 Jun '17

Dear Colleagues, I thought that I remember someone stating that Koha's circ and fine rules can be configured using collection codes instead of item types. Have any of you heard that too? My institution wants to circulate new videos for one week instead of three, but if we configure the circ and fine rules using item types, then a patron would not be able to view all of the DVDs by clicking the "DVD" item type search limiter unless they also thought to click the "New DVD" item type limiter. It make more sense to me if the item type reflects the physical manifestation of the item instead of how an item circulates. I hope that example made sense. Hi all, One of my Koha installs, (3.22.06.000 ) seems to not save user check out data. I have set the default privacy setup as "forever", but, once the patron checks the book in, it is removed from their history. (I CAN see the items checked out while the patron has the item, but once it is returned, the item/user history seems to be cleared) Any other setting I should be looking at ?? Thanks, -S
