Hello Koha, I'm getting an error in /var/log/koha/koha-error.log while uploading cover images. The upload failes. This is the error message: ... UDC number not shown in the holding area on the OPAC

I switched from DDC (082 tag) to UDC(080 tag) and reimported the records. When it was DDC I could edit the record item, click in the item call number and the call number would appear. Now when i edit the record it doesn't appear nor is it shown in the holdings area on the OPAC. Is there a way to get it in the table (call number section) so that the user can browse the shelf? Problem importing MARC records into Koha

Hello, I am trying to import some very simple MARC records into Koha 16.11. Having compiled this to a .mrc file using MarcEdit I have tried to import it using the "Stage Marc Records for Import" tool. This tool reports: MARC staging results : Processing bibliographic records 2373 records in file 0 records not staged because of MARC error 2373 records staged Did not check for matches with existing records in catalog 2373 item records found and staged All seems OK so far, but when I then run the "Manage Staged Marc Records" tool it tells me that 0 records and 0 items have been staged, and no records are displayed. I am pretty new to Koha and would appreciate some suggestions on what the problem might be, to save further damage to my head (and the brick wall ...) Thank you Chris Brown

Apache working Error Loading Koha website.

Hey Chris, Made some progress last night. Maybe there was an update, I did find one that I loaded this AM. But my problem now is that I am getting a config error: Software error: Can't call method "config" on unblessed reference at /usr/share/koha/lib/Koha/Database.pm line 56. For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([no address given]<mailto:[no%20address%20given]>), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. when will koha master work with elastic search 5.X

Nau Mai, I am working with migrating an vtls ILS to koha for a uni library. Mostly I have been recoding and optimizing some old bywater scripts and some koha import utilities to import our 3.2 M+ holdings into koha. We are trying to run koha master with elastic search due to performance issues with zebra. Our initial impression was that koha worked with ES 5.X so we installed 5.3, but we can not get it to work at all with authorities. The indexing processes generates a 7 Gbyte file filled with warnings and several key fields in elastic search contain nulls. It is possible to perform some searches on the biblio index if the sort is turned off, but it does not seem to work fully either. We have been studying bugzilla to try and figure out what is supposed to work. I have tried to apply several new patches to koha ES with out seeing any improvement. My questions are : 1/ Can koha be made to work with elastic search 5.X ? 2/ If not are when will Koha work with ES 5.x ? 3/ Does some version of Koha work with an older version of ES ? Update on Koha International Conference 2017 (KohaCon2017) to be held in Makati City, Philippines

Dear all, Here are the updates for KohaCon2017 that should have been taken note during the Koha Community monthly meeting for April 2017: 1) The organizers would like to ask that the website for kohacon2017 be added in the kohacon links of the koha community website; 2) There are now 235 pre-registered participants for the said Conference, 45 are foreign participants. So the estimate is right- 50 foreign, 200 local. We're pretty excited with this. We also want to have other local institutions the chance to attend so we're trying to work on it. 250 is the limit for the venue, so we're working doubly on this. 3) This May 17 12PM-1PM PST, KohaCon2017 will be featured in a local radio program created by the University of the Philippines Main Library which is termed as libradio, link is here: http://dzup.org/libradio but that will still be on May 17. We'll post this in the list and update the K-C on this, the language of the radio program will be Filipino-English, so those interested in listening to the podcast, please bear with us. 4) We're already done with the program, we're just trying to figure out to make it look like the program done with Greece, was it a Wordpress plugin? So we'd like to us some help from the organizers from Greece, please contact us regarding this.
