by Hugo Agud 27 Jun '17

27 Jun '17

Good morning We are facing a strange behaviour of koha 16.11.06 on debian 8 fresh install, and I wish to ask if anybody else have identifier a similar behaviour, we have not seen any bug related or we have not been able to find it. We identified a bad sorting in list... it was due because title was lost in biblio.title, we are still trying to figyre out why? Now we have seen that if you open a basket and add an order from external source the title is lost from biblioitems.marcxml but it appears in biblio.title and Now we have also seen that in catalogue search, the title is missing in the results lists... too much titles problems... :( -- *Hugo Agud - Orex Digital * *www.orex.es <http://www.orex.es>* <http://www.orex.es/> [image: www.orex.es/koha] <http://www.orex.es/koha> [image: www.orex.es/vufind] <http://www.orex.es/vufind> <http://www.orex.es/omeka> Director Calle Sant Joaquin,117, 2º-3ª · 08922 Santa Coloma de Gramanet - Tel: 933 856 138 hagud(a)orex.es · http://www.orex.es/ No imprima este mensaje a no ser que sea necesario. email module wise
by vinod mishra 24 Jun '17

24 Jun '17

Dear all, Is there anyway to send the email module wise i.e. in sender address email should be separate module emails so that if a user reply should directly come to concern module manager like Acquisition, Circulation, Serial etc. because the emails are generating from the various modules/manager but replying to only one email is something very difficult to manage. Please suggest. With Regards, Vinod Kumar Mishra, Assistant Librarian, Biju Patnaik Central Library (BPCL), NIT Rourkela, Sundergadh-769008, Odisha, India. Fwd: Unable to reindex after massive upgrade
by Mary W. Maina 23 Jun '17

23 Jun '17

---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: "Tim Young" <Tim.Young(a)lightsys.org> Date: Jun 23, 2017 15:02 Subject: Unable to reindex after massive upgrade To: "Mary Maina" <mmaina(a)scott.ac.ke> Cc: (Mary, could you send this on to the Koha email list?) We recently upgraded our old Koha install to a new install. We went from a tarball install to a debian package install at the same time. I am not entirely sure what version they had previously, but it was 3.something, and now it is Koha 17.0500000. I made a new site, upgraded the old schema, and successfully followed the instructions from here: https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Moving_an_installation_ from_a_regular_install_to_the_Debian_packages The website (http://opac.scott.ac.ke/) comes up fine. I can do a search for a book, and I can find it. But, when I click on a link, it gives me a 404. So far as I can tell, my current issue is that we are not getting any of the old records to reindex: Zebra configuration information ================================ Zebra biblio directory = /var/lib/koha/zebradb/biblios Zebra authorities directory = /var/lib/koha/zebradb/authorities Koha directory = /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin Lockfile = /var/lock/koha/zebradb/rebuild/rebuild..LCK BIBLIONUMBER in : 999$c BIBLIOITEMNUMBER in : 999$d ================================ skipping authorities ==================== exporting biblio ==================== .^M1error retrieving biblio 1 at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/ rebuild_zebra.pl line 683. .error retrieving biblio 3 at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/ rebuild_zebra.pl line 683. .error retrieving biblio 4 at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/ rebuild_zebra.pl line 683. ...lots of lines... .error retrieving biblio 18258 at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/ rebuild_zebra.pl line 683. .error retrieving biblio 18259 at /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/ rebuild_zebra.pl line 683. Records exported: 0 ==================== REINDEXING zebra ==================== ==================== CLEANING ==================== Opening up the rebuild_zebra.pl program and tracing it down, it seems that the biblio_metadata table, where it is trying to track down the biblio data from, is empty. I am assuming that it used to be stored elsewhere in a previous version? I do see a deletedbiblio_metadata table, and I have tracked some of that data down; I have a lot of biblio data in the "import_biblios" table. Anyway, It seems that my biblio_metadata table needs to be rebuilt / repopulated after an upgrade. Any pointers on where to start? - Tim Young

Status lost for items
by Søren Hovmand 22 Jun '17

22 Jun '17

Hello Koha Community, A short introduction from me as a newcomer to the community: At DTU Library, Technical University of Denmark, we are migrating from Aleph to Koha. Some 300.000 bib records and corresponding items. Patrons will not be migrated from Aleph but from our local user/patron database, used at present both for sync to Aleph and for general login to our DI/integrated search. Our discovery interface (DTU Findit - Solr/Blacklight) will be the frontend for all Koha transactions. At the moment we are working on getting the integration between Koha and the discovery interface done. For most part based on ILS-DI. For getting the bibliographic records into the data store of our Discovery interface we will rely on OAI harvesting from Koha although we do experience some serious and worrying performance issues in that area at the moment. The project started autumn 2016 and time line is to go live September this year. I have worked as a system librarian for 25 years - mostly databases, discovery interfaces, project management etc. But never with books or printed material as such - luckily I have colleagues who can help. To my question - apologies if it should be obvious: Where do I mark an item lost? I can find documentation on where it should be (Item Statuses/Edit item) but not find the option anywhere in our test installation (version 16.05.05.000) I look forward to working with Koha and with you all. And hope that once we have implemented Koha in production and get more hands on experience, I will be able to contribute to the community Best Søren Hovmand Senior Officer DTU Library Technical University of Denmark Anker Engelunds Vej Building 101 D 2800 Kgs.
