ILSDI / RESTAPI and itemcallnumber

Hello, At my university, we have an issue with our discover tool that isn't able to associate different callnumber to different items through the marc data. We could activate a feature that allows the discovery tool to do webscraping of the opac page to find the different callnumbers but when we tested it, our Koha was often down because it makes too much queries at the same time. So, as we use the ILSDI webservices, I wonder if we could add the callnumber in the getavaibilty results ? I've been hearing from REST API for many years but it's too technical for me.. Does it exist to replace the getavaiblity from ILSDI ? Could we get the callnumber, the branch and the avaibility of all the items of a biblio with a rest API query ? How can we use it ? I tried something like https://myopac/cgi-bin/koha/svc/bib/a_biblionumber but I have just a white page with "not found". Any idea ? Sandboxes now support translations

Hi All, I spent a few minutes adding a new feature to the ptfs-e sandboxes today - http://sandboxes.ptfs-europe.co.uk/ You can now install a limited number of translations onto your test sandbox. Once you have a sandbox set up, you can now pick 'Install translation' from the "Actions" menu in the sandbox manager and pick to install French, German or Spanish (I tried to pick the three most popular, but let me know if you want another option added). Once you submit the form, it'll take a moment to return the output of the commands that run... you can then enable the translation via the koha system preferences inside your sandbox as usual. Can the staff interface and the OPAC be on the same port?

Hello, Our Koha service uses port 8000 for the staff interface and port 80 for the OPAC. Recently our local council's network configuration seems to have been changed in a way that prevents us accessing port 8000 from computers connected to the council's network. (We do not know what they've done, or why, but we have so far been unsuccessful in persuading them to put things back the way they were). We can still access port 80 on the server though. So ... *is there any reason why we can't run both on port 80?* (i.e. set both INTRAPORT and OPACPORT to 80) We're running Koha 19.11 and Apache 2.4.25 Thanks and Best Regards to all, Chris Brown (Greenhill Community Library, Sheffield, England)

New items not showing

..until I do a DB repair/rebuild. Items are added, lookups done at LOC etc...everything seems OK... but...the items never "show up" in Koha...ie: users search for the items, but get no results until I run a rebuild/repair I'm unsure of where to even start looking? export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib/ export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/sites/<My_Site>/koha-conf.xml perl /usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b -r -v -run-as-root

We are going to remove the installer data files for the specific languages and we need to know if there is special data in those files you would like to keep. The plan is to remove them in 21.05.
