Not able to create instance in koha

Dear Friends I am not able to create instance in koha if gives following error sudo koha-create --create-db opac AH00558: apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1. As you can tell I do not know Perl. So any help will be nice. Raphael

I tried the perl that Jonathan sent but the Internet did not give good advise on how to run the perl. On Monday because it was a Federal holiday it did not want to work. It is a 32 bit machine with ubuntu 14.04 and Koha 16.05.05. When I tried to run barodes.pl all it did was make Koha think it was just installed. I am doing something wrong but have no idea what it is. Anything that works on that machine will work on my 64 bit machine with Ubuntu 20.04.1 with Koha 20.11.02. Br Raphael

Yes, you should rerun the upgrade-schema script on the backup. Help debugging Internal Server Error

Hey Everyone, I did an upgrade today on our server. We were running version 19.05 on stretch, and we needed to upgrade to buster and I decided to get up to the latest stable Koha release at the same time. The upgrade seemed to go OK but now when I go to our OPAC and do a search I get no results, and if I click on a link for recently added items I get an internal server error. There are some Perl Modules showing as not installed - Locale::XGettext::TT2 , Text::CSV::Unicode , Selenium::Remote::Driver , Test::DBIx::Class, HTTPD::Bench::ApacheBench . There was a warning on the System Information tab about the <lockdir> not being defined in koha-conf.xml so I added that to the config section in there and that warning is now gone. I thought this might be related to plack. If I enter koha-plack -stop <instance> it returns Stopping Plack daemon for <instance> When I enter koha-plack -disable <instance> it returns Plack not disabled for <instance> OPAC Plack not disabled for <instance> Intranet With Plack stopped the error changes to Service Unavailable I tried commenting out the Include /etc/koha/apache-shared-opac-plack.conf line from the apache config and restarting apache, but still got Service Unavailable . /var/log/koha/<instance>/opac-error.log shows this repeatedly [Wed Feb 17 17:03:58.912977 2021] [proxy_http:error] [pid 4810] [client 185.191.171.3:37140] AH01114: HTTP: failed to make connection to backend: httpd-UDS I'm not really sure what logs I should be looking at to troubleshoot this. Run batch_delete_records.pl on server?

I'm new to Koha and am having issues with web timeouts when using "Batch record deletion", either when uploading a list, or when carrying out the actual deletion of records in a loaded list. When I realized 10K records might be too many, I decreased to less than 5K. In one test, about 1/3 of my records were deleted by the time the timeout occurred. I'm not positive if the delete job is still running in the background, despite the web timeout. I'd like to ask, couldn't the batch deletion be performed by FTP'ing my list to the server, and then running batch_delete_records.pl with parameters in order to circumvent the web interface entirely? Maybe at some point, I'll have time to figure this out on my own. Until then, if anyone has figured this out, please let me know. Certainly, I could perform this operation with SQL, but I'm not yet fluent or familiar enough with Koha to know how to make sure I do this correctly for items, bibs, holds. I am Br Raphael of Prince of Peace Abbey. I have been learning Koha for the past year. I have become the librarian of the Abbey along with a few other jobs. The library has about 40K volumes. I also have four other libraries to merge into the main. I have to thank all who have helped in the past. Now my biggest problem is that the librarian before me, God rest his soul, did not attach Items to those 40K books. Beside doing it the hard way. That is one by one. I hope there is a faster way to do that. I am not a programmer so I need step by step instructions. I think I am doing good with me being 74 years of age. I might be the oldest librarian using Koha.
