Koha Item Number File Creation
Hello, all! I have been watching a video on batch item modifications < https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USp2ucBh7gY>. According to the video there are three ways to identify the target items: (1) scan or type each barcode number into the textbox; (2) identify the compiled file of compiled barcodes of the targeted items; and (3) use the file of compiled item numbers. I have sought information for compiling item record files, but I have been unsuccessful. How are such files compiled? Many thanks, everyone. P. S. The video is most helpful. -- 気を付けて。 /ki wo tukete/ = Take care. -- Charles. Hi Charles, <snipped>
are three ways to identify the target items: (1) scan or type each barcode number into the textbox; (2) identify the compiled file of compiled barcodes of the targeted items; and (3) use the file of compiled item numbers.
I have sought information for compiling item record files, but I have been unsuccessful. How are such files compiled?
Most often - using a saved sql report from Koha's report module. Hope this helps, Indranil Das Gupta L2C2 Technologies
You mean you want a report from koha to confirm item number update? On Mon, 19 Apr, 2021, 4:24 am Charles Kelley, <cmkelleymls@gmail.com> wrote:

Yes, it does. I'm an idiot! I run enough reports. All I have to do is to SELECT the proper field, items.itemnumber. No, I just wanted to know how to extract (SELECT in SQL jargon) the item record number. I know the batch item modification propagates the changes on the next CRON cycle. But the question helps clarify the issue. Thanks. These responses are most helpful. -- 気を付けて。 /ki wo tukete/ = Take care. -- Charles.
