Hi everybody... I probe the new version of koha and i found a few things that not work. 1. When you add a new memmber and you end the process in Membership record where appear the resume of the member the resume is empty. the url is http://intranet/cgi-bin/koha/moremember.pl?bornum= 2. When i installed the koha i can add only one memmber, when i try add a second new memmber and i finished the process. the new memmber not appear in the memmber list, the new memmber is not added. what can i do for correct this errores? thanks Javier

Hi, I am trying to install koha on test machine for Kabul University library. The installation went smoothly and i can access both OPAC and intranet section of koha. Greeting! It has taken place in a short time a lot. I was some time ago in the seminar of open software, in which, with lectures on the use of open software in our monastery and the future development in regard to them. In my lecture I also processed the KOHA library system. This lecture accomplished the surprising series of events. This series of events culminated in the announcement just received by me that Education ministry of Finland grants 11000 euros to the thorough testing, examining and localisation of the KOHA library system of the assistance to Finnish language. During this project all material to be produced, results and the possible modifications are available freely according to the principles of open software. In the project there are the monastery of Valamo, University of Oulu, the city library of Vaasa and the city library of Muurola involved. The following targets are examined and during the project are developed. 1. Localisation to Finnish language 2. Test listing using the UTF8 character set in the library of the monastery of Valamo. 3. Installation to the testing to city library of Vaasa, 550000 volumes and necessary conversion programs. 4. Hi, I know a number of libraries that would like to use Koha. Many of them are at present working with WINISIS. With the version 1.92 i was able to take MARC records exported as an ISO 2709 and import them into the breeding farm. i was then able to search for records and then import them into KOHA. To do this I reversed the changes that had been made to fit Winisis such as the subfield delimiters, the end of field and the end of record symbols. With this latest version however although I am able to import records into the breeding farm, when I go to Add biblio and do a search of a record that I know was among those imported, I get the message that <Nothing found>. I am wondering why this is happening with this version. z3950 problems

Thanks for answers to my previous question. I got z3950 daemon going now, but I still can not make it work. RH8 and koha2pre5. 1. koha2pre5 questions

Hi, Just downloaded koha2pre5 and I have a couple of questions: 1. /usr/local/koha/intranet/scripts/z3950daemon/z3950-daemon-launch.sh script is expecting z3950-daemon-options file which is not in the pre5 distribution. Can someone tell me what it should have in it. 2. When I click on 'z3950 search' from acqui.simple/addbiblio.pl?isbn=0534348238, koha-error fills up with the following error messages being repeated every 6 seconds: search.pl : / / / at /usr/local/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/z3950/search.pl line 52. NO RANDOM at /usr/local/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/z3950/search.pl line 59. DBD::mysql::st execute failed: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1 at /usr/local/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Search.pm line 2438. Modifying Koha interface and fucntionality.

Hi, Second question resulting from my first go at installing and using Koha. In principal html, perl and sql should allow modification of the interface and functionality very easily however my skills are not up to doing that cold. Does anyone have any howtos or recipies for useful changes? What I'd particularly like to do is have an "Add to bookshelf..." facility at some point in the acquisitions process; either a text entry field or a drop down of already defined bookshelves. Entering all the books and then returning to input ISBN's into the bookshelf entry form is going to be too tedious yet the bookshelves would appear to be the most useful feature for my anticipated browsing. If this already exists and I've missed it feel free to point out how stupid I am. :-) A request for WAP-ready XML in the archives gets a second vote from me too. I'd enable my WAP account for the ability to browse from a bookshop and forever end those "Have I got that already?" moments. Matthew

Koha 2.0.0pre5 has been released here : http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=16466 RELEASE NOTES ============= This version of Koha is the last one of the 2.0.0 series in the "unstable" tree. 5 libraries are using it, so it's quite useable. 2 last problems have to be solved before 2.0.0RC1 : * biblio deletion : at the moment, biblio deletion is buggy (does not work in MARC, delete only non-marc data) * upgrader is provided for the 1st time, so it's probably buggy. If you want to use Koha, you're welcomed, but you're warned that this version still has some bugs and missing features.
