recent acquisitions feature & translation tool

Hi, a "recent acquisition" tool has been added in OPAC : in the main opac screen, you can choose itemtype (X) & duration (Y). Then you can see books acquired since less than Y days with itemtype X. Will be released with 2.0.0RC2 Note : for those not reading koha-dev : i've also created a translation tool that should highly ease translation of Koha. If someone want more info, see koha-dev. opac in french has been entirely re-reated with this tool. Translation in a new language means editing a SINGLE text file. 250 line for opac, 1200 for intranet. I'm a newby, in every sense of the word!

Hi! I am a graduate student studying Library Science (I just finished my first semester) and I am not particularly tech-savvy either. My son is the OSS genius in the family, but I only see him on weekends and he doesn't know much more about library work than I do. He and I are going to give a presentation at a library technology conference in February on OSS for libraries, so he installed Koha on my computer at home. I want to practice entering books my son has donated, but I tried last night to figure out how to insert MARC records from the Library of Congress and I couldn't figure it out. If i'm right, look in you apache config file (/etc/koha-httpd.conf) & check mail address. If it's the right adress, then something is wrong with you mail server, not with Koha (postfix, sendmail...) Dear All Is there any mail archieve of this mailing list? I am still not able to solve my problem posted earlier. May be there is some posting on this issue earlier. MY PROBLEM AS FOLLOWS: [ HOPE SOMEONE MAY HELP ME TO MOVE NEXT STEP] I'hv installed koha without any error . But when When i am opening site with http://localhost:80 or http://localhost:8080 a scring appears having nicely written KOHA on it and after few second i get below error. Make sure your web server account has permissions to execute the perl scripts. This is a common message caused by improper permissions. While to be honest, I have been busy with other projects and work, and I haven't had a chance to seriously look at this feature option, I do know that one particular German library that is using Koha is using images of jacket covers etc, so it is definately do able, it is just that at the moment Koha doesn't have this feature. Sunday, November 30, 2003 20:13 CST Anna, Talia, and other interested Koha-ites, In his query last week about printing new acq reports, David Bucknell had asked also about Koha having a 'link' for book cover/jacket image, as is sometimes available in other ILS. I replied, noting that I had asked a similar question of Paul earlier this year, in the context of having a link to a jpeg via an MARC21 856 tag, and that the upshot of the answer was 'no, not now, not high priority'. Having had time to check through my personal archive today, I have not found a reply to my original question about including a bookcover pic in the basic Koha display, which probably means that Paul was simply too busy at the time and the original question has remained unanswered as far as I know. If I find a reply hiding somewhere, I'll forward it to you. Anyway, for those who were interested, this was Paul's reply to the second attempt.
