barcodes and importing marc

I'm having the time of my life trying to get koha to put items into the catalog from an imported marc record. Below is the sample record with which I am working. I tried doing it from Cataloging->Import Mark. When I search from the cataloging module, I find the Marc record but there is no entry in the catalog. Perhaps a separate issue: I also tried using the bulkmarcimport.pl script, but it fails with DBD::mysql::db do failed: Access denied for user: 'kohaadmin@localhost' to database 'Koha' at /usr/local/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Biblio.pm line 331. koha.conf has correct settings, and everything else seems to work, so I'm not sure where else I need to put my settings for db access. changing from Windows installation to Linux

Hi all I think that Koha is a great achievement but I am really getting frustrated with the Windows version of Koha What is involved in changing to the Linux version? I presume that I will need to set up the parameters for Koha again. Are there many problems with the linux version? I have very limited experience with Linux in any distribution. I am just assessing whether I am better off persevering with Windows. Or starting again and writing it off as experience. issuing rules error

Hi all This is a new installation of Koha on Windows XP and I am setting it up slowly. I am testing out the functions of a borrower group and I get this warning Too many issues /already issued / max a 0 / 0 I have checked the parameters and changed them to 99,99 on the * area. But even when the issuing rules were set to 99,99 for just that type of item I received the same error but that time it was c / 0. Any ideas? MARC import fails when no ISBN present 2.2.2b

19 June 2005 Attempting to import a MARC communications format one record file without ISBNs using the latest stable Koha 2.2.2b fails returning the following message whether or not overwrite duplicates is selected in the import form. "MARC acquisition system Import into the reservoir Import results : * 0 imported records * 1 not imported because already in catalog * 0 not imported because already in the reservoir * 0 not imported because they seem not to be in MARC format (or ISBN/ISSN missing) ! * 1 records parsed" The same function works correctly using the LibLime Koha 2.2.1 demonstration version for importing the identical file. No related messages appear in the error log. How can I correct and/or work around this problem? Installation problem with PDF::API2

First off, if there is a more specific listserv to direct these questions to, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated. Everything seemed to go pretty smooth for the prep on the fedora core 4 server except for the following: 1. When I tried to install the perl module PDF:API2 I received a module isnt available on CPAN message. Anybody know why? 2. I have turned off SELinux. Since it was a major source of information retrieval for anyone trained in library science -- whether as a library technician or a true librarian -- it doubtless has had a standardising effect.
