npl theme broken at v.2.2.6

More details: npl theme does not come with the graphics with v.2.2.6. it comes with a black and white template for both intranet and opac. The layout for opac looks very strange too. marc subfield editing error message

We have just installed koha 2.2.4 in our library on the windows platforms, but are unable however to edit the subfields in the marc subfield structure admin page. We keep getting an error message when we click the edit link - Premature end of script headers: marc_subfields_structure.pl If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 500 intranet 10/28/06 11:16:30 Apache/2.0.58 (Win32) Does anybody have any answers to this problem? Thank-you. Karen Robertson Henry

Problems with hidden option in the marc subfileds.

Hi Can anyone let me the following: 1. When you are editing the MARC subfields, in the editor constraints, there are various options out of which one of them is 'hidden'. In the 2.2.4 version it allows you to either put a tick or leave as it is. 2. But in the demo version i.e circ/liblime, when you go to biblio framework and then go to the edit marc subfields, the 'hidden' field in the editor constraint allows you to put numbers like 1, 2, -1, -5 etc. Why is it so? Also what do the numbers after 3 and negative numbers like -5, -6 signify? For eg: 1 means hidden in opac, 2 means hidden in editor. What about the remaining? thanks --trupti

Install Koha using Oracle database

Hi Gerrit, I came across your post from some time ago when I was trying to find out if Koha worked with Oracle. What was the outcome of your experiment? So far I converted the database script and created the database and istalled Koha. Unfortunately some column names are not beeing accepted by Oracle (reserved words). These are: biblioitems->number biblioitems->size deletedbiblioitems->number deletedbiblioitems->size newitems->number users->level I have changed the names by applying the prefix c_ to them. Where in the sources do I have to change the references to these columns? Koha seems to work (at least talk to the database), allthough errors occur. I just upgraded Koha to v.2.2.6 on Windows, thanks to Rob Weir's help... however, the npl theme seems to be broken in v.2.2.6. Does anyone know why? --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Get on board. You're invited to try the new Yahoo! Mail.

Koha translation Problem

Dear all, I am using koha 2.2.6 and I am trying to translate it to portuguese. The OPAC interface is already translated, but now when executing tmpl_process3.pl like it is said in http://www.kohadocs.org/usersguide/apb.html (and worked for opac) I get: ... ... Wednesday, October 25, 2006 21:47 CDT Hi, Sebastian, In quick response to your posting ... No, you would not need to export to XML first. You should be able to save your data as delimited text and use a very handy free tool called MARCEdit, available off of the Library of Congress MARC Records, Systems and Tools page, to convert it into functional MARC records. Surf to URL <http://www.loc.gov/marc/marctools.html> to find MARCEdit. I have been told by a linux user in the past that MARCEdit was stable on linux. But if not in your case, I could convert delimited text forwarded for you (although I currently do NOT have the time to do any more editing). Let me know if you need further assistance with that. N.B. for Koha, you will have to choose between UNIMARC and MARC21 (etc.) in terms of MARC flavours. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck with your data conversion and migration. Cheers, Steven F. Access to Opac denied: error 404

Tried to access OPAC, encountered error message 404 Script not found: c:\usr\koha226\opac-cgi\mainpage.pl Anyone know why this is happening? I have Koha just upgraded to v.2.2.6 on windows. Intranet works fine. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less.

Problems making the Z3950 work

Ok so I am setting up a new koha install and everything is great except I cannot get the z3950 koha client to work I have tried everyting I can think of to make it work to no avail. What files should I look at within koha to see why it is failing I have DNS right I can nslookup anything I want. I can traceroute to the LOC server but everytime I try to search for a LOC number it just does nothing except look like it is in an eternal loop? Any suggestions? Any ideas?

Problem with Locations/Branches

Hello, I'm trying to develop Koha for my library, and I'm very close. It's great. One of the last problems, but a major one, is that when I have a record already in Koha, and I want to change the home or holding branch, it updates it only in the marc_subfield_table and not in the items.homebranch/items.holdingbranch table. It leads to some strange displays, and this is very important for me because I place many materials into and out of our Reserves location. When I make a record from scratch, everything works fine, but it's in the update.
