Problem running ./bulkmarcimport.pl

I am trying to run ./bulkmarcimport.pl on a new install of 2.2.6 on Debian 3.1 and having the following error when run: Can't locate object method "ignore_errors" via package "MARC::Charset" at ./bulkmarcimport.pl line 24. I have built the server 3 times now and keep getting stuck at this point. I don't know why my Charset.pm is missing this method. Any ideas? I currently have a Fedora Core 3 server running 2.2.4 that worked just fine. I have built this with Ubuntu and ended up with the same problem. Very frustrating to have a working server ready to go, but I can't import data. Thanks. Hi Mike, I have no idea if this is a YAZ problem, something with the perl modules or something I'm (not) doing. I'm not a Koha developer; I'm just a user trying to work out the kinks on OpenBSD. The reason I'm posting on this list is because it seems to be directly related to the Yaz version installed. I've written a perl program (my first!) that demonstrates that after checking for a Yaz dependent perl module that input from <STDIN> no longer works. As I stated before, I only seem to have this problem with Yaz versions newer than 2.1.8. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 16:55 CST Hi, Pedro, My understanding of the bulkmarcimport script is the same as yours: the idea is to import a block of records in a single file. How many records are we talking about here? Do you have the technical skills/tools available to append the files together automatically to make one large file? They can be treated simply as text files for that purpose. Maybe someone else out there has had the same experience and can share their solution? Best of luck with finding a solution to your problem. z39.50 problem

Hi all, Lately the z39.50 lookup process has stopped working for the installation of Koha that I look after. (running on Debian stable) Clicking on the following: Catalog - Add biblio - Create Empty biblio, insert ISBN number, click on z3950 search button The z39.50 window pops up and only displays the following: "Z3950 Search Results, Nothing found, Still ?? requests to go" Here's my z3950-daemon-options file: # cat z3950-daemon-options RunAsUser=www-data KohaZ3950Dir=/usr/local/koha/intranet/scripts/z3950daemon KohaModuleDir=/usr/local/koha/intranet/modules LogDir=/usr/local/koha/log KohaConf=/etc/koha.conf The weird thing is that the z3950 logs in the LogDir location haven't been written to for months. Email account changes to admin

Hi all, The librarians who manage the Koha installation I maintain would like for user account change requests to be emailed to them. Apparently there is a method to do this, built into Koha? I've had a look on Kohadocs and the lists but couldn't find how to do it. If anyone can give me some advice or point me to instructions that would be great. Thanks, Greg

dear all, Could somebody help me. i recently donwloaded KOHA 2.2.4. version for windows and installed it and configured the environment too(MYSQL, APACHE, PERL). Opac error with amazon content

Hello All, After enabling amazon content in my Koha, the images show OK in the search results but trying to view item details in normal view returns a premature end of script headers error. MARC and ISBD views are working OK. Importing records problem

Hello Koha comunity, I am trying to import to Koha 2.2.4 an entire catalogue with a single (iso2709) file for each record. The problem is that the bulkmarcimport seems to work with a single .iso file containing all the records...or am i wrong? Can anyone help me in this question? Thanks in advance. Best regards. A hint for tutorials

Hello, Im trying to import a CDS/ISIS data base to koha by first converting it to MARC format. The tutorials in the kohadocs do not apply to my case or i cant make them work properly. I think im lacking documentation, specially about the structure of a MARC ISO file VS the structure of a CDS/ISIS ISO file. Does anyone have links that can help me? bug in printerConfig.pl ?

Hello, I'm new by Koha and using Koha 2.2.6. The script "intranet/cgi-bin/barcodes/printerConfig.pl" do not found the module "PDF::API2::PDF::Utils". I modify it to use the module "PDF::API2::Basic::PDF::Utils" and it's working. Is it really a bugg or do I have to found and install the module "PDF::API2::PDF::Utils"? If I have to install this module, where can I found it?. I'am running Koha in mod_perl but I don't believe this change my problem! Thanks Christian
