What you have given us as an example below is NOT true MARC format. Before the registry, the Leader must be present or the data will not begin to compile properly into a matrix. There is something wrong with the Leader information in your records as it is almost impossible to have that many zeroes before the 4500 sequence that marks the beginning of the registry. There should be some blanks and/or possibly letters, something like this, say: #####nam||2200|a|4500####<--the numbers of the registry---->#### Also, please note there is usually something odd with ISIS data in that the MARC21 subfields are not being used correctly. For example, in what you provided us as an example, the 245 $b is missing for the subtitle. I think that someone has written in the past about migrating data from ISIS databases (IIRC there was some kind of transformation needed first). Have you checked the KohaDocs page at <http://www.kohadocs.org>? Perhaps there is something helpful there? I am sorry for not having a full answer or solution for you now. hi everyone, i have a problem importing from isis database to koha, when i upload my iso file, giveme the error that isnot present the isbn or there is not marc format. yaz toolkit for sme server

Hi everyone! I am trying to get koha going on the current version of smeserver. This is a linux distro, based on centos, which is based on redhat enterprise. www.smeserver.org This may be the distro for you if you have a school. I have not been able to find a copy of the yaz toolkit to get the z3950 part going. Can anyone suggest a location? The few leads I found did not actually have the files... Thanks in advance for your help! I have installed the 2.2.7 versions and have the windows 2.2.7 version going already. I'd like to migrate to linux though when I get the search function up. techie PS - are there accelerated reader and/or spell checker add-on's for koha available?

Intranet won't remember credentials

Koha = v2.2.8 OS = Windows XP Browser = Firefox 2.0.0.3 Problem: Just installed Koha on Windows XP. Each time I click a link on the Intranet GUI I have to re-enter my Intranet credentials to access the underlying page. Believing the problem related to Cookies I made sure Cookies were allowed. Any help fixing this problem would be GREATLY appreciated.

One branch cannot see expired items

Hi all, I see that 2.2.9 has been released, so we'll be moving to this version from 2.2.5, thanks Paul! One other problem we have is that one of our branches cannot see their expired items. Would this be fixed as a result of the update in 2.2.9? * fixed a SQL typo in overdues fixing on return (database was not properly updated) Thanks, Greg

Apache on Debian downloading .pl files.

Hello, This is my first post to this mailing list so bare with me if I'm breaking some protocol. I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me. I just did a bunch of updates to my Debian server and it seems to have broken Koha. I spent all day yesterday trying to figure this out and I seem to be stuck. Whatever page you try to visit on any computer here it tries to download the .pl file instead of executing it on the server end. Started by looking through logs and it didn't show anything suspicious. Thought maybe it was AddHandler in the apache.conf file so I changed it from: AddHandler cgi-script .cgi to: AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl Did nothing different. If I rename the mainpage.pl file to mainpage.cgi and point directly to it in my browser it loads perfectly fine. I can even log in but of course once I try to click a link in the menu I get the browser trying to download that file. There is no way I am going through the whole source to rename everything from .pl to .cgi. It does bother me that there is no DOCTYPE but that shouldn't be the issue. Call numbers for biblios

Hi, Our librarians are complaining that when they look up a book in the catalog (using the intranet interface) the call number is not shown. We're using the Dewey Decimal Codes as call numbers, with the itemcallnumber parameter set to 082a so when a new item is added the k subfield for that item has the Dewey filled in automatically. These item k field entries show up in the location column in the catalogue. What do I have to do to get the Dewey showing in the call number column (for the biblio, not just items)? All items belonging to a given biblio have the same call number in our library. There seem to be some things that are relevant in the MARC links for biblioitems but I don't want to play around with that in case I break something. So, I did a link from /var/www/koha to /usr/local/koha/intranet/htdocs/ When I enter localhost/koha in my navigator, I have one second a "WELCOME TO KOHA", and it disappear and I get this error message : The requested URL /cgi-bin/koha/mainpage.pl was not found on this server.
