Dear All I have installed koha ver. 2.2.8 with following configurations: Microsfoft window 2000., Apachi 2.0.59, Mysql 5.0 & Perl 5.8.8 build 817 To fix this, memberentry.pl, change line 217 from my %flags = ('gonenoaddress' => ['gna', 'Gone no address'], to my %flags = ('gonenoaddress' => ['gonenoaddress', 'Gone no address'], Plz i dont understand what this line says so plz tell me then i can understand...... "....Yep, both installed. According to Henri-Damien C4::Date was changed to use Date::Calc in 2.2.8. Looks something got broke somewhere... # pkg_info | grep date ddclient-3.6.6 Dynamic DNS service update client p5-Date-Calc-5.4 date calculations for the Gregorian calendar p5-DateManip-5.44 manipulate dates in perl Mike D. " Then i am facing following error: First, when filling all the information in Add New Patron and click on add this patron it is not storing. Only filed names are showing not field values. Continued Migration Woes

Hi everyone, You may remember I was here a few times over the past few months. I've been desperately trying to migrate from 1.2.3 to a current release, and every attempt has failed. We are a small church library, so I'm considering that we may have to just start over with our 1,900 entries, but I hate to do that unless we must. Additionally, I'd feel safer if we could solve this, since I'd hate to think in a future upgrade it might happen again. So, I thought I'd give it one last shot and see if anyone had any suggestions on my current problems: I seem to have upgraded from 1.2.3 -> 2.0, with the idea from an earlier recommendation that this would provide a point to get the database upgraded before moving to a current release. So far so good, except 2.0 won't work. It doesn't seem to read koha.conf properly (it wouldn't log into the database), so I manually patched Context.pm to tell it where the database is. That seemed to get the system running, but the search function remains broken with this error: Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /home/stpauls/koha/intranet/modules/C4/ SearchMarc.pm line 116. I should add that I did run koha2marc.pl, seemingly successfully before I tried to access the administrative interface. The marc_biblio table shows that it has the right number of entries... When I run the MARC test, I get back five errors: ---- itemnum The field itemnum MUST be mapped The correspounding subfield MUST be in with -1 (ignore) tab OK All item fields are in the same tag and in item tab OK itemtypes table filled with at least 1 value itemtype NOT mapped the biblioitems.itemtype field MUST : be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised_value=itemtype OK branch table filled with at least 1 value homebranch NOT mapped the items.homebranch field MUST : be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised value=branches holdingbranch NOT mapped the items.holdingbranch field MUST : be mapped to a MARC subfield, the correspounding subfield MUST have authorised value=branches biblio and biblionumber The biblio.biblionumber and biblioitems.biblioitemnumber fields MUST : be mapped to a MARC subfield, be in the SAME tag (for example : 090$a and 090$b) be in tab -1 TOTAL You have 5 error(s) in your MARC configuration. sir i have installed koha 2.2.2 in fedora core 4. How can i implement or use a barcode scanner for cataloging purpose that is for issuing books, returning books, renewing books operations. I found in koha there is provision for generating barcodes. which type of barcode scanner is i can use with koha. it is possible to use the barcode scanner for stock verification purpose. How can i use a barcode scanner for all these purposes... i am waiting for answers..... Can someone please help me with a step by step guide for installing koha 2.2.9 on a linux box. Iam new to linux and l am intending to try koha as a library system. I have been attracted by its modules. Please help. I tried to run the installer.pl file but l'm failing. hw do l do it.

MARC check...didn't pass the test

I'm not exactly sure how the mailing list works. I'm totally new to Koha. But I have encountered something I'm a bit confused by, and I thought maybe someone has seen this before and could tell me what they did to remedy the situation. I've done my MARC check and it recorded one error. It says: Item fields ALL items fields MUST: Be mapped to the same tag, And they must all be in the 10 (items) tab Any advice?
