hallo I have installed koha ver. 2.2.5 and inputted 3000 records for testing but I am facing problem that when I modify items particular book like price and holding branch it will not take new vales not modify the previous values.If I deleted the item and created new item then it will take current vales. Any one can help me why it is not modifying itms. thanking you dpl

Hi All, Just wondering if anyone knows if Koha has a self check-out option or what the easiest, most effective way to create this would be? Id like my patrons to be able to check out books themselves, but arent so keen on having the admin side of everything open to them to play with! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! "Too many issues" Circulation error

Hi all! I'm a newbie, trying to run Koha for a Yoga Library! At this moment I set up all main system administration options ("Issuing rules" included) but I have the following message when I try to borrow a book to a Patron that doesn't have any book issued: "Please Confirm Issue: Too many issues (already issued / max : a 0 / 0)" I readed in a post (subject: "issuing rules") that the Circ2.pm has a logical error in the sub TooMany. There was a corrected version of the sub, but when I edit my Circ2.pm file the Koha System can't start... I don't know if that is the real problem!! I will appreciate any help...I need the Issuing Rules working to star to use Koha! I'm running the Koha version: 2.2.8 for Windows, Perl version: 5.008008 MySQL version: mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.45, for Win32 (ia32) Apache version: 2.2.4-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8d Best Regards, Felipe

New Z39.50 search tool

Hi, I am writing to point other Koha users to a tool I created for copy cataloging (MARC21 records) via anonymous Z39.50 servers. I wrote the script because copy cataloging in Koha was so laboriously slow and I needed to catalog a whole collection as quickly and accurately as possible. Since creating something that worked just for me, I've continued to develop the tool to make it more powerful and easier to use for others. It's written in Ruby and requires rubygems are installed. Features include: * Scripted changes to records, like macros. Delete and append with option to be prompted for input. * Output CSV file, useful for printing custom labels. * Grouped parallel searches of zservers to make searching quicker while allowing broad searching as well. * Save to file, a simple zebra server, or Koha 2.2.X (via bulkmarcimport.pl). I really really want to set up a test/evaluation koha. Really. I do. I have a ubuntu box, pretty much basic ubuntu server 7.04 LAMP.
