Koha on etch - a pain?

Hello people Has somebody succeeded in running a koha-2.2.9 recently installed on etch? My problem: I can't add new biblios. I had posted some of my problems before. Now I thougt I'd start again from the buttom up. I deleted the koha-database in MySQL did a rm -r /usr/lokal/koha and installed koha again. (That's funny, since their main docs are a handbook containing mostly the STDERR "usage" messages from their various executables, but in an even less readable format.) But even if they *did* have a bulletproof NDA, I certainly wouldn't have any authority to suspend state law in order to accept it. Koha MARC fields 090 $c, $d and 952 $u

I am just another newbie, so here goes? During the test phase of finding a replacement ILS, I found KOHA!! YEA!! It is load on a Windows XP Box with Apache 2.2.4, MYSQL 5.0.45, ActivePerl 5.8.8 (Build 822) and KOHA 2.2.8. After exporting the MARCs record from our old ILS (Athena) and then fixing them with (MARCeditor) They were seccessfully imported into KOHA with the bulkload utility. I decided at some point to Dump the records with the KOHA export function to see if there were any problems: As you can see by the attached sample records, the 090 $c / $d tag and the 952 $u show a problem. Koha asigned the same number to to different Books (952$u19849). It also cause the 090 $c and $d fields to go out of sync. Not sure if the maters or not. I looked at the Database and found that this happened five/six times in 39000 records. Reserve Error fixed... 1 error/bug left (for now)

OK... I downloaded MYSQL ADMINISTRATOR to try and fix the error in the RESERVE LIST and it would not work... It would not let me edit the data... Do I Downloaded SQL-FRONT (formerly MYSQL-FRONT) and it worked like a charm... I just added a date for when the reserve was cancelled and it is gone from the list on the Intranet now... Bulk Import Marc Records

Hi All, I successfully installed Koha 2.2.9 on a Debian Etch machince with Perl 5.008008, Mysql 5.0.32, and Apache2. Now I'm trying to bulk import some Marc records from winnebago. But I'm getting this error - Arguments must be MARC::Field object at /usr/local/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Biblio.pm line 1440. I found a thread about missing 090 fields. I used MarcEdit to add this field to the Marc records but I still get this error. I installed Marc-record, Marc-charset, Marc-lint, and Marc-xml for the cvs at sourceforge according to the Installing Koha on Debian Sarge how to on the kohadocs website. What I'm I doing wrong?
