Deal all, Please help me how to configure httpd.conf file for koha-3.00.00-beta and apache 2.2.8 on Red hat. I put the following directives in descriptors of VirtualHost in httpd.conf , and it gave me the errors like "Rewrite is unknown directive", when I commented these lines and browsed koha site I see nothing. Please tell me what I did wrong. Thanks in advance. Need help for Data migration

Hai, In our Library currently we are using SOUL software. We are planning to move in to Koha. So I wants to know, is it possible to migrate data from SOUL to Koha?. mapping problem

Hi, I have troubles with maping MARC fields to Koha DB (Koha version: 3.00.00.087) In MARC file prepared for import I did put filed 942b and filled it with Koha frameworkcode (LIB). I changed default framework and added this filed, and also I made new framework (LIB) in Koha. Links from this field to Koha DB, are also in place - there is 942b mapped to biblio.frameworkcode. Than I do bulkmarcimport.pl and I expect biblio.frameworkcode to be filed from 942b. This doesn't happen. Than I run batchRebuildBiblioTables.pl and again, biblio.frameworkcode is empty :( Can somebody please help, what is wrong? Saludos a todos, esto para los que entienden el español, también trataré de escribirlo en inglés. Necesito saber si alguno de ustedes, siguiendo ciertos criterios, ha hecho alguna justificación de los requerimientos de hardawre necesarios para instalar Koha. Es para proponer las características que debe tener un servidor en el que será instalado el sistema, en una biblioteca donde existen cientos de miles de registros bibliográficos y pueden estar conectados simultáneamente al sistema miles de usuarios. Les agradecería mucho a cualquiera que me responda o me de alguna sugerencia.

I run a small nonprofit. Our new project is a lending library and we would like to use Koha software to manage it. We have no existing database (we are starting from scratch), and this library will be - as I said - very small. We will likely never have more than 300-500 titles. My webhost has installed Koha on our server for us. I have been working through the initial set-up and I think I've been mostly successful. I can import MARC data from the LOC and can add patron accounts. However, I have some problems too. I cannot seem to access OPAC at all - I get an error when I try. I also don't know how to customize the look of Koha to suit our small-scale needs. I know I CAN figure this out on my own but it will take me a lot of time because I lack expertise in this area. Anyone out there proficient with this software would likely figure out and resolve issues quite quickly, and my organization would be happy to compensate someone for their time. UDC and sign language

Ok, actual library question this time. This is for anyone out there that handles UDC cataloguing. We've got a copy of the abridged edition, and so far it's handled just about anything we've thrown at it, except this: Where does sign language (e.g. ASL, AUSLAN, NZSL etc) fit into the languages? I can't find it (or braille for that matter) in the Common Auxiliaries of Language anywhere! -custard.

A sad situation

Dear Friends, I was in a dilemma. We were using Koha 2.5 on Fedora 3. Our server computer damaged recently and we could not retrieve the Koha database. We tried to install Koha 2.2.9 on Fedora 4. We could install all perl modules, while starting isntalltion it says ZOOM remaining to install. Our system admin could not solve this problem. He says that ZOOM run properly only with MySQL 5. I suggested installing Koha 3. But our system admin familiar with Red Hat system (we have RH EL-5) and he is not ready to try Debian. It is very sad not able to install Koha 3 on Red Hat based systems. I hope that you can suggest a solution to this problem. Vimal Kumar Asst. Hi all i'm already beginning in install koha3 on ubuntu 7.10 ,no problem with apache 2.2.4 , mysql 5 and set root password , perl V5.8.8.7 and from Synaptic Package Manager i added all modules and files for YAZ, CPAN. is it correct way or not and what's the next steps to install koha 3 i'm a confused for the correct way to do that could you please guide me to execute this mission. Couldn't able to add MEMBER data

hi forum, I am using following versions to install Koha in windows XP Koha229 Apache2.2 MySql Server 5.0 Activeperl-5.8.8.822-MSIWin32-x86-280952. It is working fine to create catalogue and able to search OPAC but FACING PROBLEM TO ADD MEMBER DATA. Member data is not saving in the database and resulting template showing blank (SHOWING NO ERROR MESSAGE).
