Ok, next question. I recall creating a root password for MySQL after installing it but these instructions say to not log in as root. So, as far as I know I’ve not yet created any MySQL users/passwords. I’m assuming I need to do this first…? There are several different ways to do this. Hi All - This is an error I get when trying to install MARC::Charset through cpan on opensuse 11.0 --setting up the dependencies for Koha3. PERL Module installation problem

Hello everyone. I'm working on installing Koha for the first time and I've run into a problem. I've got Debian installed and in following the instructions at http://www.kohadocs.org/Installing_Koha_on_Debian_sarge.html I've got a problem in step 3.1.6. When typing in the command: Perl -MCPAN -e 'install "Net::Z3950::ZOOM"' A whole bunch happens then it stops with the following: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgcrypt collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [blib/arch/auto/Net/Z3950/ZOOM/ZOOM.so] Error 1 /usr/bin/make -- NOT OK Running make test Can't test without successful make Running make install make had returned bad status, install seems impossible I'm a Linux newbie with a bit of experience but at this point I'm stuck. I've attached the full transcript of what's happened. I'm hoping there's a simple solution. Hi When I click Generate Barcodes button It displays internal Server Error. Here is the koha log error. confusing sudo a2enmod rewrite command

Dear Friend, Our server OS is Red Hat EL-5. EL-5 has not Apache 2. Our system admin confused with the command "sudo a2enmod rewrite" while Koha 3 installation. He says that this command work only with Apache 2. How can we manage this command with EL-5? Any equivalent command available? or any other way to execute this command? With thanks, Vimal Kumar Asst. Finding Imported Records

I have Koha installed on a Win XP system. I used the bulk import script by typing this at the command prompt: C:\usr\koha229\scripts\misc\migration_tools\bulkmarcimport.pl -file F:\work\marcfile_dat\marcfile.dat I type in Intranet in Firefox and login. I perform a search for a term I know is in the many of the records, but get no hits. I do the same search after typing OPAC in Firefox and still get no hits. How do I confirm that the records were sucessfully imported? Is this the correct script? Thanks for any help, John
