Hello, We are looking into migrating our Horizon database to Koha and in need of support services for the migration and afterwards. SRU client

Hi, Since Zebra server supports both Z3950 as well as SRU functionality, my question is: Will a future version of Koha soon incorporate SRU functionality also as a client, just as it already does for Z3950 search? In other words: When can I search SRU server targets from within the Koha interface too? I did (unfortunately) not find anything in this direction yet on the developer wiki. Regards, Marcel de Rooy

Hi Akin, If you can install phpMyAdmin on Sus 10.1, you can do a backup of Koha Database easily. You have lots of options on creating a backup. I have installed Koha plus all the supporting programmes but when I try to open it I keep getting an error message as follows: The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@dummy-opac and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. The opac-error log shows the following errors: Premature end of script headers: opac-main.pl could not find ParserDetails.ini in C:/usr/site/lib/XML/SAX DBI connect('koha229:localhost','koha',...) failed: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) at c:/usr/koha229/intranet/modules/C4/Context.pm line 411 DBI connect('koha229:localhost','koha',...) failed: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) at c:/usr/koha229/intranet/modules/C4/Context.pm line 411 Can't call method "prepare" on an undefined value at C:/usr/koha229/opac/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl line 17. I have installed KOHA 2.2.9 on following configuration in Windows XP professional environment. Mysql 5.0.51B ActivePerl-5.8.8.822-MSWin32-x86-280952 apache_2.2.8-win32-x86-no_ssl Now I would like to know how can i customize the Biblio framework, as because lot of fields are showing on cataloguing sanction. That I don't' want. Again, when I am trying to edit the subfield of Biblio framework it shows that "Internal server error" Kindly guide me soon,MORIUM

Hello Edisnel, You might like to go to these 2 links. http://www.koha.org/support/ The first link takes you to a list of companies that provide dedicated Koha services. "Pay for Support". It's however an incomplete list. I say incomplete because over the years, other commercial companies have done successful implementations of Koha but might not have added themselves or might not have been added to this list. Good business practice is to look for credentials and reference sites of course. But as Paul Poulain says: most of the Koha distributors are not limited by their physical geographical location. http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=kohausers The second link will take you to a listing of some of the users of Koha around the world. Incomplete list most likely as some libraries don't know of this list or choose not to be entered. However the listed libraries often give their contact references. CGI::Session module problem
