Z39.50 import loses UTF8 enconding?

Dear all, Whenever I try to import via Z39.50 search from the LOC a record containing Asian charachters the imported record splits up the doublebyte code characters into single characters. Since I am able to query the LOC using UTF8-strings, I guess this might be a sign that the UTF8 encoding was probably lost while doing the import. The encoding problem actually shows even before I import a record and just click the preview options "MARC" or "CARD" in the results window. Going for the "Card" option, I get the following attached error message. Is there somewhere in the perlfiles a fixed encoding setting that I have to change from e.g. iso-5426 to UTF8? I would very much appreciate any hints, where to look. Item Issuing Problem when policy changed - Koha2.2.9

I have a little bit problem here. Previously my library had set "Reference" itemtype as notforloan. Now they want to change the policy to enable loan with rental charge. I had change the setting under System Administration-Itemtypes. Uncheck notforlan box and put 1.00 for rental. However, the item still can not issue for loan. The message is: "Error Issuing Item:Item Not for Loan". I have also set issuingrules for Reference item to 14,2 and fine: 0.5,1,1. Still can not solve. Currently I am using Koha 2.2.9 install in Ubuntu 7.10 server. I had also another set of koha ver 2.2.9 installed in my laptop running on windowsXP, and wampserver. The problem does not appear on Windows. The item can be circulate when I uncheck "notforlan" box. Anyone face the same problem? Please help. Amzari Abu Bakar amzari79(a)gmail.com

Error in adding member

Hi all, While adding a new member do we have to enter registration and expiration date.But,in the labels for the same ,i.e Start date and end date it says , *Joining Date(leave blank for today) & Expiry Date(Leave Blank for autocalc).* Is there* *any system preferance setting for autocalc to work? How to create a PO file?

Dear All, I'm using the script "tmpl_process3.pl" for creating a PO file. But when executing the script it is giving an error... Missing files for reserves?

Hi, i am running koha-3.00.00-stableRC1.tar.gz on Fedora 9 ('uname -r' says 2.6..25.14-108.fc9.i686) Some files may be missing that are related to managing reserves (aka holds) 1) Instance 1 In Intranet, on the circulation home page, under Circulation Reports, the "Holds Queue" link is dead, and returns a 404:not found The link is http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/koha/circ/view_holdsqueue.pl The file view_holdsqueue.pl is missing from /usr/share/koha/intranet/cgi-bin/circ which is where Koha is installed. This file is also not in the install download. i haven't checked git yet 2) Instance 2 As per the Koha manual (appendices > Cronjobs): Script path: misc/cronjobs/holds/build_holds_queue.pl Does: Updates holds queue Required by: Circulation >> Holds Queue Frequency suggestion: every 1-4 hrs i can't find this script in cronjobs or bin or indeed anywhere in the installed paths or in the install download. Problem with display, mysql, zebra, and MARC appearing different

The MARC records and the mysql/zebra records don't seem to match. Zebraqueue and zebra rebuild do not address the problem. In the MARC record, the item detail displays correctly INCORRECT records: http://catalog.rjhslibrary.info/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl?q=henry+james See Sample Here (See second and third record). 1. Item indicates "No items available." in the initial search. 2. The detail shows the holdings with correct location. 3. In the MARC record, there is NO item holding information. So if it doesn't show up on the initial search, but does in the detail, but DOES NOT in the MARC: Correct data exists somewhere, as indicated by the detail record, but needs to move to the MARC.
