Layout for patron cards

Hello, i am trying to print patron cards and the default template for patron cards doesn't really produce much. i tried creating a fresh layout, chose layout type of "patron cards", and specified the following under Data Fields: "cardnumber, firstname, surname" after choosing the 'List fields' radio button. i save this layout, and created a new patron card batch, but the cards generated have only the name of my sole branch, the patron category, and the cardnumber, and nothing else. i copied the field names from the "borrowers" database table, do i need to prefix the tablename? What am i not doing right? Also, i'd like graphical barcodes on my patron cards for future use with a scanner. Thanks and regards, krishnan mani Pune, India Unlimited freedom, unlimited storage. Thanks Mason, Andy I must say that I had an easier time installing the KOHA 2.2 versions as well... and I don't even have to worry about Zebra Following your advice I got another error, see below. Owen We are about to go live (next week) with 3.0. We would like to add database links to our OPAC. We have gif of the buttons and the links to the sites but I don't know where to put the gif and hot links to show up in the OPACNav. Can you give me a suggestion? Also we are interested in adding the "book covers of the most popular books" to our OPAC page and Bev said you did the dev on that for NPL...anyway to co-op that for use by other libraries? Serials in multi-branch libraries

Since upgrade time is approaching, we're re-evaluating possible use of Koha's Serials module to manage our magazine subscriptions. Right off the bat I'm confused about something: How do you handle a subscription if it is expected that you'll receive X copies of each issue? If I enter a serial record for Time Magazine, I need to tell Koha that we'll get 7 copies of the new issue each week. Can Koha do that? minor issue: NO_LIBRARY_SET

Hello, i have a single library defined in Koha. Whenever i log in to the staff client as a superlibrarian, it still says "NO_LIBRARY_SET" in the header. i then select the one library there is, and i log out, hoping that will make the choice permanent. But this is again lost when i log out and login again. I don't remember facing this problem with the 2.2.9 install i had, even with multiple libraries. Embedding google analytics javascript

Hello, i'd like to use Google analytics to track visitors to OPAC for our library on the internet. This requires embedding a small snippet of javascript. i know there's a system preference available (System > OPAC > opacuserjs) where i can insert the snippet. Is that the recommended route? Or should i manually insert this into opac-main.pl or some such page that typically "includes" all the other content i ask because i don' think i need the script on each and every page. About patron password strength

Hello, i am aware of the system preference that allows specifying a minimum length for patron passwords. i haven't dived into the code yet, but if someone that knows can save me some time: Perhaps Koha uses a regular expression of some kind that can just as easily be modified to also require, for example, some combination of symbols, digits and mix of lower and uppercase alphabets? i am sure that some such customization probably needs a good amount of testing and is not easily exposed as a configurable system preference just yet.
