Koha 3.0 beta on Kubuntu gutsy - "production mode - trapped fatal error"

I have close to a successful install of Koha 3.0 beta on Kubuntu gutsy. For example, the interface at port 80 comes up in Apache2 fine. However, i am having problems getting the OPAC interface on port 8080 to work. It tries to start, but then freezes with the message "production mode - trapped fatal error". Apache2's logs show no error, but Koha's log shows errors such as -- [Mon May 05 14:25:42 2008] [error] [client 127.0.1.1] [Mon May 5 14:25:42 2008] Reserves.pm: DBD::mysql::db selectrow_array failed: Table 'koha.systempreferences' doesn't exist at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Context.pm line 455. AND [Mon May 05 16:38:20 2008] [error] [client 127.0.1.1] [Mon May 5 16:38:20 2008] install.pl: Can't locate object method "generate_id" via package "CGI::Session::ID::" (perhaps you forgot to load "CGI::Session::ID::"?) at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/CGI/Session.pm line 74. The messages seem to imply that a PERL module is missing, but I have checked and am unable to tell what might be missing. I have researched the 3.0 install procedure from the Koha file, and from an online guide. I have tried it on two separate machines - but the problem in both cases was the same. Any suggestions? I have followed the guide in the wiki. It is very helpful (There are some typos though) I have got to the point of installing Koha and I get this message. [Tue Dec 30 19:52:41 2008] Makefile.PL: Warning: prerequisite POE 0.9999 not found. We have 0.9989. I have run the cpan installation for this and it ends in an error. Can anyone help me to get past this? Thanks. All the other CPAN modules installed fine. Hi, I am new to koha but have installed that on debian. Now I want to customize the layout of koha as well as some extra functionalities are required to be added to koha. Anyone can help me how to setup a development environment for 2 or 3 develpers working at my local lab to customize the koha 3.0. Help in this regards will be highly appreciated. Koha + Ldap no authentication

We Have setup Koha and want to login with the users from our LDAP database. Our LDAP is functional and in use for samba, Moodle and Horde (Learning environment and e-mail for our school). Hi all, I'm having a bit of difficulty getting the koha web installer up and running. Label printing and bug 2691

According to a thread from a couple of weeks ago, some of you are able to use the label printing features of Koha. A question: 1. Have you run into issues related to the call number on a spine label splitting at the ANY punctuation? (Bug 2691): YA 133.42 Black printing as: YA 133 42 Black or LP F Rowling, J.K. printing as: LP F Rowling J K while sometimes Dewey prints fine, for example: 823.9 WAT or 133.43 ROL I had another question, but now I can't remember what it was. Koha and OAI

Hello, translating/writing Koha 3.0 french documentation, I configured Koha as OAI repository with system preferences OAI-PMH. It seems to work quite fine, however I wonder how the sets defined in sys pref OAI-PMH:Set are used : - I didn't see the correspondence between Set and any field of biblio, or document types. - I didn't find in oai.pl a query where Sets are involved, - and the xml response to oai verb oai.pl?verb=ListIdentifiers&metadataPrefix=oai_dc&set=name_of_set is the same for every set value.
