Issues while installig Koha 3.00 on redhat 5.0 linux

When i am installing CPAN i have given the Proxy but i am getting the following error Select your continent (or several nearby continents) [] 4 invalid items entered, try again I have entered 'ASIA' and 4 but this is not taking any option. Also when i running the perl Makefile.PL for Koha 3.00 i am getting the following [Mon Jan 12 16:25:10 2009] Makefile.PL: Warning: prerequisite DBD::mysql 4.004 not found. We have 3.0007. Hi Koha's I was wondering. Has anyone made a Koha distro yet? Ie a live/install cd that you could just put the CD into the drive and have koha work? Cpan is koha's biggest downfall and while such a cd would not be easily upgraded, it would be good for those that struggle with Cpan and koha's installation regards Colin McDermott

Koha 3.0.0 on Debian Koha 3.0.0 has been loaded (witht the help of a good friend), but when we were trying to change the IP addresses, we hit the following problem. When going to the root terminal, and tying in the following command: koha: # cd/etc/apache2/sites-available , then # vim koha, we get the following message E325: ATTENTION Found a swap file by the name "/etc/koha/.koha-httpd.conf.swp" owned by: root dated: Thu Jan 8 14:46:11 2009 file name: /etc/apache2/sites-available/koha modified: YES user name: root host name: koha process ID: 4582 While opening file "koha" dated: Fri Jan 9 15:03:18 2009 NEWER than swap file! (1) Another program may be editing the same file. If this is the case, be careful not to end up with two different instances of the same file when making changes. Quit, or continue with caution. (2) An edit session for this file crashed. If this is the case, use ":recover" or "vim -r koha" to recover the changes (see ":help recovery"). If you did this already, delete the swap file "/etc/koha/.koha-httpd.conf.sw p" to avoid this message. -- More -- The other thing that happens is when we start up the OS, we get notification that a file has failed.(the apache2 conf file) We have tried "vim -r koha" but this did not help. Editing 100a personal name field

Dear all I wonder if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong. I want to either edit the personal name (ie 100a) for imported records or write to it when doing original cataloguing. There must be a switch somewhere which allows me to type in the box, but I can't do so at the moment. I've looked at the staff side demo sites and it's not possible to enter data, or edit imported data on those sites either. I would be very grateful if someone could let me know how to do this. I can get the authority search box up but I don't want to do that. I just want to be able to type directly into the box - I've obviously switched something wrong during the set up. Z39.50 Problem

Hi, We have installed koha in our network.This is working fine. But whenever we try to access it through YAZ clients it gives error. Zebra server is running on port 9999.
