We are using Koha 3.0 version and while uploanding an patron image following message is generated. The following fatal error has occurred: Can't locate object method "_newFromJpeg" via package "GD::Image" at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/GD/Image.pm line 185. deleting item types with phantom uses

Greetings friends, according to the report on item types, there are 25 total biblios in my catalog. They are Books, CD-ROMs, Reference, Periodicals and Visuals. When I try to delete Audio under Item Types and Circulation Codes, it tell me that it is in use 2 times; when I try to delete Books, it tells me that it in use 32 times. How do I access these phantom Audio biblios so that I can delete them and then delete the item type? Koha Usage problem

Koha and UTF-8 (again)

Once again I took the fight with Koha to try to make it work with non ASCII characters. So, anyone to my rescue???

Galen answered a question posed on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 4:41 PM by Lenora Oftedahl--re allowing outside clients to access a Koha database--thusly: "Assuming you're using Koha 3 with Zebra and that Zebra is configured to expose a public Z39.50 service, you would need to report the following: * server name * Z39.50 port * database name - by default, that will usually be 'biblios' The default Zebra configuration for MARC21 uses the Bib-1 attribute set." Could someone tell me the exact steps I need to take to configure Zebra to expose my Koha 3 db as a public Z39.50 service? Thanks! New Tutorial: Installing Koha on Ubuntu

I've posted an a fairly extensive guide for installing Koha 3.0 on Ubuntu 8.10. I hope some of you find it helpful. The guide assumes you're comfortable with technology but don't have experience with Linux or Koha. It begins with Ubuntu installation then walks through LAMP configuration, Koha installation, troubleshooting the installation process, and setting up sample data for testing. It ends with a reflection on some issues to consider before attempting a live Koha implementation. The result won't be a production system, but a test system to help you to understand and evaluate Koha. Importing records

Howdy, I've been using Readerware from http://www.readerware.com/ to maintain my library. I have just installed Koha, and am having difficulty understanding how to get my library loaded into it. With Readerware, I can load a list of ISBN's from a text file and have Readerware automatically fill in the rest of the data for the books. How do I do this in Koha?
