How to Get Rid of Check Sirsi/Sirsi-Resolver Link
by Shar Shar 09 Mar '09

09 Mar '09

We are on the latest stable Koha version (3.0001005). We would like to remove the Check Sirsi label which links to the sirsi-resolver.sirsi.net in the results page. We looked at the OPAC templates, scripts and XSLT (which is set to on in the preferences) but we cannot find how this is triggered. How to disable this label in the OPAC? Thank you all! Dishar

Check on how MaxFine works?
by Wagner, Jane 09 Mar '09

09 Mar '09

Can someone check my understanding of MaxFine? If it's set to $10, and fine increments are .20, and the last total was $9.80, does the MaxFine kick in with the next .20 increment (total $10), or the first one AFTER the $10 threshhold (total $10.20)? printing and koha
by Janson, Aad 09 Mar '09

Newby here! So perhaps my questions are very obvious. If so, I'am sorry. How do you define printers in Koha to print holdrequests, immediately after these holds are made? How do you define a label printer in Koha ? Thanks! Aad Janson Peace Palace Library P Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail

Re: [Koha] I'm confused about where normal view customization occurs
by Owen Leonard 09 Mar '09

> Any idea why my Koha install would not show the $b field in the title under the Normal > view the way yours and Rachel's does? I noticed she is on a later release than I am. I've tracked down the commit that enables the display of the subtitle and it looks like it's old enough that you should have it. It was in the 3.0 stable release: kohabug 1621 - add subtitle to main results and details pages Including the subtitle in search results and OPAC and staff details templates. The subtitle is expected to be in the MARC subfield that is mapped to the (now nonexistant) column bibliosubtitle.subtitle. > What about the "Koha Link" field under the Advanced Constraints for a subfield. My reading of this > is that this is the link between the Koha DB fields and the MARC fields It sounds from those notes above that the fix depends on the "Koha Link" value for 245$b to be set to "bibliosubtitle.subtitle," a Koha field that, as the notes say, doesn't exist anymore. The trouble is, since it doesn't exist you can't choose it from the interface. Perhaps the only option is to change it in MySQL? "UPDATE marc_subfield_structure SET kohafield = 'bibliosubtitle.subtitle' WHERE tagfield = 245 AND tagsubfield = 'b'" ...and add "AND frameworkcode = 'XXX'" if you only want to change the XXX framework. Maybe Galen could chime in with comments since he was the author of the patch. -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org

LDAP: Staff login when Authenticating
by Barry Cannon 09 Mar '09

09 Mar '09

Hello, We finally have Koha working correctly, authenticating to an LDAP server. The problem we have now is that when LDAP is switched on the "Kohaadmin" staff user gets the following error when we try to log in: "Error: Unauthorized user click to logout". The patrons can log in to OPAC fine but not the staff users. I did try auto creating an LDAP user then switching off LDAP, logging is as the Kohaadmin and assigning that newly created LDAP user Staff Rights, then switching LDAP back on, but the same error occurs. Any suggestions? Thanks Barry
