apache configuration and login problem

Using Koha 3.0.0 on Linux NOT WINDOWS! We have two problems. 1. Follow up to the login issue; Using Koha 3.0.0 on Linux. We had trouble with a failed file - you sent us some advice to use gedit, and we recovered this file. Unfortunately, another problem has arisen - cannot log into "kohadbuser" because of too many authentication failures - the exact message reads "Access denied for 127.0.0.1. The host has been blocked because of too many authentication failures." The advice you sent us was for a Windows platform, but we are using Debian Etch. 2. We want to configure the apache IP address, but we can't get to sites-available. When we type in "cd/etc/apache2/sites-available", it tells us there is no directory I hope this is not too many problems for you to solve... Thanks heaps Carmel Young Catholic University Malawi

Zebra stops searching after a crash

We are getting ready to go into production and one of the Mac Minis that we have been testing on decided to crash today. After rebooting the server, searching with Zebra turned off works. Turning Zebra on and searching fails. Zebra was turned on prior to the crash and the searching worked great. I have tried the drop option in zebraidx and dropped the database biblios in an attempt to start clean, still no joy. I have run the rebuild zebra script numerous times and everything seems to be indexing, but we still can't search. Any ideas? Searching Imported Records

Hi, Is there a easy way to retrieve imported records based on the notes we set during the Stage Marc Record? If this impossible, what is your process to enter the items for all of those imported records? Thanks, Eric

KOHA 3 ON WINDOWS

Hello, If I am directing this to the wrong place, please let me know. My school district is looking at installing Koha 3 on Windows. I’m using Strawberry Perl as outlined in the Wiki docs, but have one question (I believe it’s for Chris Nighswonger). Under the section on installing Net::Z3950::ZOOM, it says: Modified ZOOM Makefile.PL for use on Win32 (see attached Makefile.PL) Do you have this modified Makefile.PL? If so, can I get a copy of it? I don’t see a link to it on the site. Label printing - it take too much time and Koha 3.00.01 stable crashes

Dear All I've installed koha 3.00.01 stable version on Debian 4.0 r7 Etch on an i386 p4 machine. Everything is running fine. But when I try to print the labels and barcodes from any template at /cgi-bin/koha/labels/label-home.pl, when I try to add items in some batch at /cgi-bin/koha/labels/label-item-search.pl?batch_id=1&type=labels the system does not respond for a long long time and my Koha system also crashed during this process. I've tried this on a couple of machines but the error is same. Can someone help me to fix this issue? The same problem is with my another friend. Ata ur Rehman Islamabad, Pakistan

deleted biblio table

Hi all, We are running Koha in a test environment and importing MARC21 records. Because something went wrong we deleted the MYSQL biblio table to remove the imported records. But when we search in the koha interface we still find them; the database is empty for sure. We checked like 10 times. I have read that Koha has a dual database approach: text-based and RDBMS ... is there also a text-based copy of the database? Does anyone have a clue why we still find records while the database is empty and if yes, how can we resolve this one? EDI, automated purchasing process

Good Afternoon, A customer of ours is looking at implementing KOHA. However, as far as I can see, EDI has not been implemented yet. Is there any other form of electronic or automated ordering available in KOHA? Is there a timeframe as to when EDI would be implemented? Koha 3.0 Roadmap Status: Planning Feature: EDI or related technology for automating the purchasing process, etc. Who: CC, RH, MJ Note: Baker and Taylor support; Ebsco support.
