Staff Client query
by 99eclipse 27 Apr '09

I've successfully installed KOHA 3 on Ubuntu 8.10. Is it possible to add books when I'm accessing the staff client from the internet and not from the local network? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Staff-Client-query-tp23240287p23240287.html Sent from the Koha - Discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

add item returns production mode - trapped fatal error
by Marty 27 Apr '09

Running on debian etch, nozebra (for now), I can import books from Library of Congress Z3950 server, but when I am in items and click on add item, I get this production mode - trapped fatal error message. The added items show up in the mysql biblio table (but not in items, obviously) The koha logs don't show errors, the apache log does: [Sun Apr 26 15:45:26 2009] additem.pl: Can't call method "append_fields" on an undefined value at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/MARC/File/SAX.pm line 95. at /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8/XML/LibXML/SAX.pm line 73 [Sun Apr 26 15:45:26 2009] additem.pl: at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/MARC/File/XML.pm line 445 [Sun Apr 26 15:52:46 2009] additem.pl: Can't call method "append_fields" on an undefined value at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/MARC/File/SAX.pm line 95. at /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8/XML/LibXML/SAX.pm line 73 [Sun Apr 26 15:52:46 2009] additem.pl: at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/MARC/File/XML.pm line 445 [Sun Apr 26 15:54:35 2009] [error] [client 192.168.0.101] File does not exist: /var/www/HNAP1 [Sun Apr 26 15:54:38 2009] [error] [client 192.168.0.101] File does not exist: /var/www/TEADevInfo Any ideas or suggestions welcome, thanks, Marty

Zebra search
by legacy admin 26 Apr '09

26 Apr '09

Hi, I installed KOHA 3.00.00 on ubuntu 8.10 64. Everything seems to go well except when I try to add records from the web it returns this error: "The requested URL /cgi-bin/koha/cataloguing/z3950_search.pl was not found on this server." When I try to add records locally, I am able to get the z3950 popup window to load completely. Is there anything I need to do on KOHA or is it an APACHE issue? If it is APACHE, what do I have to do. Thanks. Roy

zebra erro
by Cody Hennesy 25 Apr '09

25 Apr '09

Hello all, I'm trying to get zebra 2 running on a centos 5 machine with Koha 3.00.01, and everything looks good until I run a catalog search and the connection closes with an error 109 message. Tried rebuilding and restarting zebra plenty of times, as both root and koha user. / etc/koha and /var/lock/koha are owned by the koha user now. Have also done these exports: export KOHA_CONF=/etc/koha/koha-conf.xml export PERL5LIB=/usr/share/koha/lib Not sure what to do next - reinstall zebra?? non-standard classification source
by Nelson Fredsell 25 Apr '09

25 Apr '09

We've been using a proprietary classification source and would like for Shelf and Call number to reflect our system in the OPAC. How do we do this? I'd like to enter our shelving options in a Zebra table and then allow the cataloguer to choose from a drop-down list in the Items step, no? Secondly, several libraries are involved and some of them do use Dewey. Is a single installation able to handle multiple classification sources? Thanks, Nelson Fredsell Cape Town, South Africa

Sudden trouble with 2.2.9 Z39.50?
by Marty 25 Apr '09

25 Apr '09

Koha 2.2.9 has been running quite nicely for me now (as opposed to koha 3, I haven't succeeded in running it succesfully yet), but suddenly I get this popup when I do a Z3950 search that says 'you have chosen to open search.pl which is a .PL file (duh) from http://debian:8080 What should iceweasel do with this file?' It always worked fine, I do have a functional internet connection, and I am really puzzled... Any ideas? output from koha-error_log [Fri Apr 24 23:55:44 2009] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Premature end of script headers: search.pl, referer: http://debian:8080/cgi-bin/koha/z3950/search.pl?oldbiblionumber=&isbn=07642…
