retrieving checkout data
by Rachel Hollis 21 Apr '09

21 Apr '09

Everything I know, I learned the hard way. Recently I learned the wrong way to anonymize check-out history. The situation is that I cannot view patron checkouts and overdues for any items that were checked out up to sometime last week. Is there anything that I can do to view this data after anonymize check-out history? The most important data are the overdues. When I click on Circulation and run the Overdues Report, the data displays alright but the Patron column has parentheses. When I click on "download file of all overdues," the CSV file contains no data. How can I view check-out history? We are on Koha 3.01 on Debian. Koha project IRC meeting
by Galen Charlton 21 Apr '09

21 Apr '09

Hi, I would like to call a general meeting on the #koha IRC channel on Wednesday, 6 May 2009 at 19:00 UTC with a nominal finish time of 21:00. I would like to hold this meeting monthly, and I'll arbitrarily pick the first Wednesday of every month. I would appreciate feedback on the time of day I've selected; I'm thinking of rotating the meeting time each month so that no one timezone always ends up having the IRC meeting fall in the middle of the night. Here are some items I would like to discuss. 1. Koha 3.2/tip status and timeline 2. Koha 3.0.x status 3. Koha bugs database 4. KohaCon 2009 report Please use this thread to suggest any other discussion topics. The #koha IRC channel (irc://irc.katipo.co.nz/#koha) can be accessed with the following settings: Server: irc.katipo.co.nz Port: 6667 Chanel: #koha Regards, Galen -- Galen Charlton Koha 3.2 Release Manager VP, Research & Development, LibLime galen.charlton(a)liblime.com p: 1-888-564-2457 x709 skype: gmcharlt

Z39.50 barcode search
by Szymon Bobek 21 Apr '09

21 Apr '09

Hi all, We have Just set up our koha library on the school server, and started to work with our catalogue. Everything works beautifully except that we cannot use Z39.50 so that it will search the online libraries using barcode search point. It works fine with ISBN, but barcodes are different than ISBN/ISSN. Is it possible to make koha do this? Regards, Szymon Bobek The International School of Krakow http://iskonline.org

Thanks for your time and patience. The group I represent will be embarking on a major book project this year. Our target group is intellectually challenged people. We aim to produce ebooks with audio. The library software needs the following; Graphical interface Ability to have thumb nails Soundex as well as Lexical matching for search Be able to handle a soft library. Handle Radius authentication Is Koha able to meet these requirements? Regards John
